So, I picked up my books this morning and classes start next Monday! I am taking Psychology, Sociology, Political Science and English!!! I am also an "older" student - so, this will be an experience for me! LOL I am hoping I am up for the challenge.....very nervous though!!! I sure hope I am smart enough for this!!!

I'm right there with ya. I'm a non-traditional student as well and remember being as nervous about it as I was. It gets better, honest. Its the whole (I feel too old for this or who will I relate to) thing. But, you're not. There is an adjustment period, at least for me there was, during my first semester. First week can be very overwhelming but once you get in the swing of things and get into your study groove, you should be fine. Ask alot of questions, the more you know the better you will feel.
Also, there is nothing wrong in making younger school friends. Being older, we have more life experience and can offer our advice to those who want it. You'll also learn things from the young ones as well.
I wish you the best of luck in school, you'll do great. :)

I pick up my books tomorrow, starting on the 22nd! I'm *older* (26) and I prefer the company of other older students. I'm right there with Capricorn. I love the advise from older students. In my experience the younger ones were a little wild and seemed to not be serious at first. You'll be great, have a good semester!
huum... i better get on getting my books too then. i was debating on waiting till the week i start but i dont know its been soo long since ive been in school.(im 26 too!) so i dont even know if i should get my parking pass now or wait.. aaagh to many things!haha
Yes, get your books as soon as you can. I had a few classes last semester that had assignments due on the day of class! So check your email or blackboard, or whatever your school uses.
Whaaat omg ok for sure thank you so much for that.:)

Dont be nervous! Relax by the time you know it you will end your first term with a 4.0 (I did)! All the worrying I did made me work that much harder. If I did it, you can too!

I'm right there with you! I'm am "older student" (I just turned 45) and I'm starting the pre-nursing program this week! I have A&P 1 and College Math this semester and A&P 2 and Medical Terminology over the summer. I've already taken the math class at a community college (with an A) but my nursing school offers guaranteed admission if you take these 4 classes through the school and earn a 3.25 GPA so I'm doing that. After that, all I'll have to take are nursing classes since I already have ENG, SOC, PSY, etc. . I'm ready!
BTW....26 is NOT an "older student"! LOL
