At least you are in good company. So many of my classmates for pre-reqs had to re take classes and apply for a second time. At my school the LPN program is less competitve than the RN program. There are just not as many people who want to go that route. It is a great way to get started if you cant afford to wait to get into the RN program. Good luck next year!
I was denied last year, it sucks but life goes on. I decided on plan B and am now finishing off the additional pre-reqs I need for the new program. I put in my application this month and will hear in a month or two whether I got in or not.
My plan B has actually turned out to be better for me than the first school I chose. It's a smaller school, WAY smaller cohort (72 compared to 200+), cheaper, and I have been given scholarships.
As long as you have a plan and are moving forward you have much of what you need to succeed. Good luck to you and DON'T GIVE UP!

DON'T GIVE UP! I have received more rejection letters than I care to imagine.. but that didnt stop me and I continued to reapply.. I got into the LPN program in 2008 and I just received my RN acceptaner letter 4 years later 2012.. people told me to give up and find another dream.. no this is my dream and I made it come true.. so can you.. BIG HUGS!!!

I was denied acceptance to the LVN program at a local college I applied to. I don't feel as bad as I thought I would though...maybe because I really really want to get into the RN program but settled for applying to the LVN thinking maybe it was less competitive to get into (what in the world was I thinking??? Its just AS competitive!). So I'm going to retake some of my science courses and shoot for those A's and hopefully will get accepted next year. Keeping my fingers crossed
