Hello to everyone and congrats to those that have pass and to those like myself who are gonna take the exam sometime soon, good luck and we can do this!!!

However i am a bit conflicted at this time. I finally received my new ATT # and i wanted to take my test at the end of the month, the date that i want is still available but know i feel myself second guessing myself wondering if i should wait until the first week of October. A big part of me wants to just take it and ace it and not wait, but i want this to be my last time, i really don't want to have to take this test again! Any advice or thought is appreciated

You can do it Bluebird! Just read and practice test and u will be fine. Just a piece of advice from what i experienced earlier: when ur expecting that test will end by 75 and the test still goes on until u reached 200, don't freak out too much and still try to calm urself coz i did freak out earlier hehe coz when i reached 200 i only have 1 hour and 40 mins left which is soo scary! And of course, don't forget to pray.

hey guys could you please tell us how the exam went and what kind of questions you got on the exam.... thanks

givingup2009: First of all, DON'T GIVE UP!!!

I did not pass the first time I took the NCLEX (and I mean, I rreaalllyy didn't pass-- failed in 75 questions) and was so down on myself that I couldn't imagine myself ever passing. But I kept working because I know that being a nurse is what I'm meant to do-- and today I took the test (75 questions) and got the pop up this afternoon! Granted, I cried the whole way home and was sure I failed but, if I can do it, you can do it too!!!

So anyhow, the test today was mainly prioritization and patient teaching. I had a handful of questions that were medication based, a few SATAs that were meds & patient teaching, and one that I had to put in the right order. The topics that came up most for me were infection control and recognizing what's normal/abnormal! And also, I found that the Kaplan strategies really didn't apply to the majority of my questions. I think ExamCram & Kaplan questions really prepared me well, and I was able to narrow all of my questions down to two options and critically think about the answer.

It took me about 2 hours to do the 75 questions-- I wrote out all of my lab values before I startred, said a prayer, and really took my time. And I made sure to take a break!

Hope that helps!

Ujones!!!!! DO THE TRICK....I WANT TO KNOW LOL. I am just kidding. I am sure you passed Ujones and so happy for you ::hugs and kisses::

In the Middle: What an accomplishment and yes the pop up works and you are an RN now!!!!

Oh and of course the poor Jowhanna who was tortured with over 230 questions. I am so happy for you that your trick told you the desired pop up. Be assured that you passed!!!

Oh and Ujones: DO THE TRICK NOW lol.

To the Newcomers....This month has been so great so far. I think we have really great karma here and that the holding it together and giving eachother encouragement helped all of us and I am certain if we keep this up and today is the middle of the month we will make this the best passing month ever!!!!
