Hey Future RN's & LPN's,

I haven't seen a group established for us!!! I wish everyone much success on their exam! For me I will be taking it for a 2nd time!! Please leave prayers, advice and words of encouragement to everyone in this group!:heartbeat

hi everyone... i've been reading some of the thread here since last month, but this is the first time for me to finally post a reply...

im a Filipino nurse, april 2008 graduate...and took my local board exam last November 2008 and passed it,with a rating of 84%..(thank God) now for almost about 5 weeks of preparing for my NCLEX-RN for California i will finally take it tomorrow September 09, 2009 at 9:00AM...i never enrolled in any review center because of some financial problems. I just decided to use Saunders Q&A 4th edition, kaplan question trainer, NCLEX 3500 and some chapters of La charity. Honestly, as of this moment (at about exactly 14 hours before my exam) i can't really say that i am 100% ready but my mind keep telling me that i should because this would be my first and last exam if ever because as i've said i do have financial problems (if its not because of my uncle i don't think i can afford to pay for this exam:crying2:) that's why i need to PASS! i can say that i did well during my nursing school days not because i am very intelligent (coz im not) but maybe because i learned and decided to work hard for it (my uncle also is the one who sent me to nursing school because my parents got separated 4 years ago) not only because i really need to do well coz of my situation but also because being a NURSE is my childhood DREAM!!! i really love taking care of people especially those who really need help...:nurse:

and now, i only have few hours to go for this very important part of life...i really hope and pray that everything will be alright tomorrow and soon enough PASS this exam...

Thank you so much... and God Bless us all...:wink2:

Hi Jannele! Welcome to this thread! :yeah: I'm in the same boat as you... I'm also a Filipino, April 2008 graduate. But because of my citizenship, I wasn't allowed to take the NLE in the Philippines. So here I am, getting ready to take the NCLEX on the same date as you. I'm in California right now, though. So I have more or less 32 hours left (since I'll be taking it at 12 noon on September 9th). OMG, I find it so amazing that I've finally found a "batchmate"! :D Nobody else I know who graduated in April 2008 from the Philippines is taking the NCLEX this year. Now I feel a bit better because I'm not alone anymore. :) I also studied only Saunders 4th edition and NCLEX-RN 3500. I hope my preparation is enough... I know that if I fail, I can always take it again. But the thing is, I DON'T WANT TO TAKE IT AGAIN. LOL. Besides, I need to get a job already... A real decent job, so I can help my family and stop bumming around not being of use to anyone. Hehe.

Anyway, good luck to you, Jannele! Come back after the exam to tell us how it went! :D

And good luck to everyone else who'll be taking the NCLEX today and tomorrow! :heartbeat

I am also testing on 09-09-09 at ten am georgia time. Exactly 26 hours to go!!! Its nice that I am not the only one. So now I know of, including me, four that test tomorrow. I cross my fingers that all of us make it through! You all hear from me tomorrow night, since Ihave to travel to that place and back. Good luck to you all.

I promise I am not studying, but I cant for the life of me remember the order of putting on PPE. Can anyone tell me if this is right:

To enter a room you first put on the cap, then the mouth piece, then the shoes, then the gown and last the gloves.

Before you leave the room you first remove the gown then the gloves and then the cap and then the mouth???? Aghh I am all confused. Help please.
