Hope you don't mind if I ask, but when did you graduate? Do you have any other certifications? Like BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP, etc? And have you worked as a CNA or LVN before? I wonder which specific qualifications Sharp is looking for... Hmm. :stone

Really? Now I'm worried... I applied to Sharp Chula Vista and Coronado. I've heard that Sharp Coronado will only take in about 3 for the new grad program; not sure how accurate that is, though.

Have any of you heard from Sharp yet? I recall reading somewhere that they'll contact qualified applicants for interviews by November 13. I haven't received any calls yet and I'm starting to feel really anxious...

Would it be a bad idea to email my cover letter and supplemental information form, and fax my recommendation letters and transcript? :| I don't have access to a scanner for my recommendation letters and transcript... Btw, just curious... To which campuses and units will you be applying? I'm thinking of applying to Sharp Coronado and Chula Vista (since they're the closest campuses to my house, and they're both offering Med-Surg programs which is what I'm interested in). Will you be making separate cover letters for each unit/campus that you will be applying to? Or will you just make one? I don't know whether to make a general cover letter for both campuses I'll be applying to or making two cover letters, with each one specific to the facility. Hmm...

I totally agree. Even when I was still reviewing for the NCLEX by answering the practice tests (on Saunders and on NCLEX-RN 3500), I found that the first answer that I chose would most often be the correct one. But every time I double guessed myself and changed my first answer to another one, I'd get it wrong. So just follow your instinct! Haha, the tutorial helped a lot to ease my anxiety because it cracked me up. :chuckle Like the "choose the fruits" one. LOL.

Congrats!:yeah: That was fast, though. At least you didn't have to fork out extra cash for the quick results, huh? :chuckle I wish California participated in the quick results thing, too. I don't know how I can wait for a few weeks more to get my results.

It took about 4 and a half hours since I finished my exam before my status turned from "Ready For Delivery" to "Delivery Successful". Those were the most stressful and most nerve-wracking 4 and a half hours of my life. LOL. Well, I'm so glad this is all over and done with. I'm so so happy for you too! So far, all the people I know who took the NCLEX today have gotten the much anticipated pop-up. Hahaha. Now it's time to kick back and relax. OMG OMG OMG I just tried the PVT and I got the pop-up! :hpygrp: Now I have to wait for the letter or for my name to show up on the website... :stone

Just got home... I took the exam in 50 minutes, and the computer stopped after 80 questions. I checked the Pearson Vue website and the status still says "Ready For Delivery". It's doesn't say "Delivery Successful" yet. I hope that's not a bad thing. It got easier toward the end for me too. :uhoh21: I got about 2-3 SATA, 8-10 questions about meds, 1 drag and drop and 2 calculations. The rest were prioritization, delegation and diet questions. x_x

Hi Jannele! Welcome to this thread! I'm in the same boat as you... I'm also a Filipino, April 2008 graduate. But because of my citizenship, I wasn't allowed to take the NLE in the Philippines. So here I am, getting ready to take the NCLEX on the same date as you. I'm in California right now, though. So I have more or less 32 hours left (since I'll be taking it at 12 noon on September 9th). OMG, I find it so amazing that I've finally found a "batchmate"! Nobody else I know who graduated in April 2008 from the Philippines is taking the NCLEX this year. Now I feel a bit better because I'm not alone anymore. :) I also studied only Saunders 4th edition and NCLEX-RN 3500. I hope my preparation is enough... I know that if I fail, I can always take it again. But the thing is, I DON'T WANT TO TAKE IT AGAIN. LOL. Besides, I need to get a job already... A real decent job, so I can help my family and stop bumming around not being of use to anyone. Hehe. Anyway, good luck to you, Jannele! Come back after the exam to tell us how it went! Same here. I am SO ready to put all of this studying behind me. I was never really fond of studying, even in nursing school. I'd just browse my notes and then take my exams (which I did okay in, surprisingly, haha). I've never studied or prepared for any exam so hard in my life, until the NCLEX came along.:chuckle Anyway, good luck to you, Susanne! We'll be taking the NCLEX on the same day! Aleena, I so envy you right now. I hope I'll be like you in a few days. LOL. Hope the PVT works for me, too.
