Hey Future RN's & LPN's,

I haven't seen a group established for us!!! I wish everyone much success on their exam! For me I will be taking it for a 2nd time!! Please leave prayers, advice and words of encouragement to everyone in this group!:heartbeat

you can do it Go Go Go

Hi, everybody!

I'm still waiting for my name to pop up on the Cali BON site - if it doesn't, I'll be the first casualty for September and the first one to cast doubt on PVT. Susanne, I read someplace that you're German AND in the military - I'm half German, half Italian, and my son is in the Air Force at Port Andrews. He's planning on starting the RN program at Mason U as soon as he becomes eligible to study.

Good luck to all taking the test! I'm praying for you and I know we will all pass - we worked so hard! BTW, a number of my classmates who took the NCLEX were getting qs about SLE and cirrhosis (including me).

Keep up the 100% rate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Marie

Hey Marie, there is an exceptional program that he can utelize that I used. It is called the AECP program. Tell him to look into that. They will pay for the entire two years of actual nursing and he will not have to work. He will receile full pay and remain on active duty, but will not be deployed once he is accepted into the program. He has no requirements while in school in terms of military aside of passing his PT test. If he needs information just let me know and I talk to him. It is an exceptional program and makes life a lot easier once he reaches the level of the last two years of his BSN. So worth it!

Thank you! I'll pass the info to him; he said something of not being eligible to go to school yet - he joined last November (basic training), then tech school till March, then Port Andrews. He's E2. I'm afraid I wasn't paying much attention to him the last few months while I was going crazy with the NCLEX and all but now it's high time I resume being a Mom. What branch are you in?

I am studying but not as much I should. Retaking kaplan for now and reviewing the book. I have hard time focusing. I made schedual which can't follow. I am really frustrated that i can't motivate my self. Thank you so much for incouragement, it is really helpful. Thanks again and good luck and congrats.:yeah::).

Oh that is great Torquois that we take it the same day. I take it in the morning at ten, but I will not be able to get back until late that afternoon or evening to let you all know. I am leaving tomorrow afternoon to drive there (ts a two hour drive) and stay the night there. Yeahhh this is my last study day!!!

I'll be taking it at 12 noon... I looked for the latest possible time (I'm not a morning person :p) when I scheduled my testing date. :D Anyway, good luck to you! This is my last study day too, must get more information packed into my brain today before I relax tomorrow.:chuckle

I am ARMY. He might already looked into a program. Those programs you have to be one year at your duty station in order to become eligable. However, if he is still doing his pre-reqs he should be able to go right away and do those at least. Maybe Airforce works slightly different Mary.

I take min at 10 am on 09-09-09. Leaving the house tomorrow afternoon to go and relax. Just woke up from a nap. I cant believe I was so sleepy. Just looking over my rationales now and some meds and that is it for today. Good luck to everyone who is testing tomorrow, but for some reason I think it is the niners next lol.

Alright, i am closing my books now. No more studying!!! Only praying is left now :)

Susanne, thanks again! Good luck 09/09/09! You'll pass, I just feel so sure! I hope I'm not breaking the English only code since this is a quote which worked for me throughout my studies:

Allen Gewalten zum Trotz sich erhalten,

Nimmer sich beugen, kraeftig sich zeigen,

Rufet die Arme der Goetter herbei!

Marie

Oh I love this quote!!! So true too. Thanks Marie....I am so exhausted today, so its good to not study anymore tomorrow and get some rest.

Hi everybody, I have been reading the threads for a while and thought I would comment. I love how supportive everyone on this thread is! I love how everyone cheers for each other. I am taking my boards in nine days and I'm getting really nervous about it. I have read a chapter or two from the saunders book for about two and a half weeks. I've started working full-time and I'm worried that orientation is starting to affect my study time. I was unable to complete the Kaplan course (they canceled it due to low numbers enrolled). I have the Kaplan book and have been reading a bit in the book. I feel unsure where to focus my time or attention. Any advice?
