I had a parent ask me to read her child's TB test because the doctor's office told her it needed to be read EXACTLY at the 48 hour point and since I was a nurse, it wasn't a big deal.

I actually do read quite a few TB tests for high schoolers and some staff. We have a large employer in town who hires lots of part time kids and they require tb's. I don't mind doing it. Quick email to the nurse at the company and its done. Good public relations, LOL.

When I was in the hospital, we were not allowed to read them on staff members unless we had been trained. We weren't allowed to read them at all if patients had them done at another facility. I still work off of that mentality.

An invisible cut....

Thankfully that's the only weird one, since I made it clear to all my staff that unless it's something bad and it can't be handled in the classroom, send them to me.

I drew the line at dog poop on a shoe. Not cleaning that.

A teacher once asked me to talk to a 12 year old student about masturbating in class. Uh, definitely NOT a medical issue.

Um...uh... I'm trying to think about how that conversation would go...

"Johnny, keep your hands off your junk in public."

Sorry, I'm having a bit of a day and feeling a little twisty. This is me and my horrible sense of humor.

I don't know how the conversation went since I refused to do it :sarcastic: But the teacher was really miffed when I said that wasn't in my realm.
