Does anybody have any they would like to share?
Here are some of mine:
Whenever my grandmother had leg cramps, she would wrap her leg very tightly in saran wrap. It worked like a charm.
If your hair is greying at the roots and you don't have time to dye it, rub ground coffee (of course only for brunettes) into the roots. They will cover up enough grey untill you have time to get your hair done.
Itching like crazy? Take out the vinegar and pour on itchy spots. You might smell bad, but at least the itching stops.
I know their are a lot more, but my brain how ceased to recall any more at this time.
How about yours?
THANKS :)
Jules

I also heard that if you put plain unflavored yogurt into your lady parts, it will cure a yeast infection (haven't tried that one!)
This does work. A patient who was on a ton of antibiotics of course developed bad infections, but yet she was allergic to some sort of additive in all of the creams and pills. So here we were ordering plain yogurt from dietary. The refrigerated coolness also helped in providing relief.
we were camping afew weeks ago and a freind thought she was developing a uti so another friend told her to drink alka seltzer to help it and within 30 min she was feeling much better! also if you have a bad sun burn rub vinegar all over it and it draws the heat and pain away my husband did this in puerto vallarta last spring and he felt better within hours.

It didn't cure me, but at least it made me sleep!

Almost the same as my mum's recipe for menstrual cramps: two tablespoons of scotch whisky, hot water and sugar. It worked very well!
Alum (found on the spice aisle and used to make pickles) stops bleeding and is cheaper than a styptic pencil.
Crazy glue seals cuts, we used it in the "old days" before Dermabond (which doesn't hold as well). If you have a (finger or toe) nail that is badly broken up into the meat you can seal it with crazy glue, stings like crazy but will hold things together until it grows out. I have glued down avulsed toe nails on my kids, less pain and fewer infections than with trimming it away.
Duct tape "cures" plantar warts: soak the foot good to soften, scrape away as much of the callous (that forms around it) with the edge of a paring knife. Cover with a 1"X1" piece of duct tape. Repeat every 3 days. Obviously, do NOT use if diabetic or any vascular issues.
Eating yogurt with live cultures can help maintain the balance, especially if you are on antibiotics. 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt "inserted" at bedtime will clear up a yeast infection, usually with 1 treatment. And honestly, it doesn't feel any nastier than Monostat.
