I'm thinking about picking up another class for the semester because the ones I'm currently taking aren't very challenging and don't require much outside work. Principles of Chem (less than 1 hr of homework), Yoga (no homework!), Brain and Behavior (no book=no outside work), Sign Language 1 (very little outside work). Edukan offers A&P 1 starting in March and running for 8 weeks. Do you think that's doable? I've already taken an A&P class a couple of years ago that isn't acceptable anywhere, so I feel like it won't be as tough as it would be for some people, but I don't want to get in over my head at the same time.
What do you think?
Also, they say in the syllabus that you should buy the books through eCampus, but do you see any reason why I couldn't buy through Barnes & Noble? They're quite a bit cheaper.
Seemi, have you gone ahead and re-enrolled in this class or are you going to go ahead and take AP2 with us and then retake it?
well i re-enrolled for the 5 week class startin may 5 , and then for session 3 I will still be with you guys , i might have an advantage this time since I have all my hw and labs already done , wish me luck, also how did you do on this weeks test ?
hey girls! i pm'd goingformydream this week because she took this class previously with simmons. there is no extra credit or dropping a test, but she did say that she thought the last 3 tests were a little easier. also, she used this link http://www.aw-bc.com/applace/ to study with. if you got a new book it came with a student access kit to mya&p. i had e-mailed simmons about this but he said we didn't have access to it but could purchase access to anatomy & physiology place. but...mya&p and anatomy and physiology place are the same thing! you can go to this website, choose our book, then click on student registration and you have access quizzes and exercises. wish i had realized this sooner.i have a few choice words for simmons but will keep those to myself. i'm realizing that if i have to take micro and ap2 with him i'm going to have to do a lot more research for help on my own. grrr... goingformydream is taking ap2 and micro through riosalado, but my a&p classes both have to be through the same school. and i've already checked with my school to make sure they accept credit through edukan (barton county cc). just thought i'd pass that along.
anyway, we've only got one chapter to do this week. i actually started on the homework last night. good luck!
hey girls,
i just wanted to let you know that i took ap i last fall w/ simmons too
maybe i am crazy, but i really liked him.
good luck to all of you.

Glad you'll be with us, Seemik! I got a "B" on this week's test, it was actually a little easier for me than the previous ones. Hope my good luck holds out so I can finish up the class with a "B"!
Best of luck that you don't have to retake AP1, but even if you do, I know you'll get the results you want this time!!
Thats Great !!!Im so happy for you !!!!what school did you apply to ? Yes i am still here , I do plan on taking the class again but I will finish this semester also , Good luck to you !!
Thank you! I got in to Watts School of Nursing, which is a diploma program affiliated with Duke University. The school just teamed up with a community college here to also offer an AS degree, so I'll graduate with a diploma in nursing and Associates Degree in Health Science. It's a tough school to get into and very demanding, so I'm nervous but excited! I'll be finishing up prereqs through the end of the year and then start the nursing curriculum in January 2007.
Thanks again!
Hey girls,I just wanted to let you know that I took AP I last fall w/ Simmons too
Maybe I am crazy, but I really liked him.
Good luck to all of you.
PM me if you need anything!
Thanks for the offer and for the luck! He doesn't seem like a bad sort, just not every helpful, IMO. But anyway, like Lana mentioned, at least we know what to expect from him now for AP2. Did you go back to Edukan for AP2? If not, where are you taking it and how hard is it compared to AP1? I heard that there isn't as much memorization, more concepts.

I was originally going to take AP II through Edukan but they switched teachers (not Simmons) and I ended up dropping it. It's basically just a continuation of AP I but with more labs based on phisiology and you will still do you ADAM labs as well.
I am sure you will all do fine.
I am taking AP II through my local college instead this summer since it worked out better with my schedule.

I think he is not helpful at all I tiried emailing him a couple of times and got 1 word responses , with a class in the distant learning format it is important to have your questions answered thouroughly , I will be taking ap2 with him also . Let me know how you do on this weeks test , Good Luck!!
