8 Week A&P 1 with Edukan...what do you think?

I'm thinking about picking up another class for the semester because the ones I'm currently taking aren't very challenging and don't require much outside work. Principles of Chem (less than 1 hr of homework), Yoga (no homework!), Brain and Behavior (no book=no outside work), Sign Language 1 (very little outside work). Edukan offers A&P 1 starting in March and running for 8 weeks. Do you think that's doable? I've already taken an A&P class a couple of years ago that isn't acceptable anywhere, so I feel like it won't be as tough as it would be for some people, but I don't want to get in over my head at the same time.

What do you think?

Also, they say in the syllabus that you should buy the books through eCampus, but do you see any reason why I couldn't buy through Barnes & Noble? They're quite a bit cheaper.

How funny, I had been contemplating a change to Lee also but session 1 still appears to be full from what I can see, I've been checking daily. I've got a request in to my registrar, but it's my understanding that the class fills up fast and that there is a waiting list. My reasoning is that I'm just sort of interested in getting a different perspective from another teacher as well as more reasonable testing. Anyway, I'm not holding my breath that I'll be able to make the switch but if it is possible, we may still be classmates after all.

Anybody know how long it takes for our grades to actually show up on the transcript? I keep checking on the Barton CCC online services and my grade isn't posted yet. My school here posts it as soon as the teacher submits grades, even if it's the middle of the night.

I would give it a little more time...I spoke with the registrar at my Edukan college today to find out if she received my grades yet, so I can be taken off pending status for my upcoming classes and officially enrolled. She said, "Grades were due yesterday, which means I probably won't get them until tomorrow (Thursday) night"! :rolleyes: I'm sure it's probably the same story at your school and that the transcripts will most likely be update at the end of the week.

Any word yet on the session 1 AP2 course?

How is LPN school going?

I haven't heard anything yet, but figure I probably won't until Friday or even Monday. Keeping my fingers crossed though!

The LPN stuff is pretty boring so far, but we've had a lot of paperwork to do and had to get books and all that. last night we spent a few hours doing all this pre-testing to see where you are academically. It was incredibly boring, but I was the only one who finished it. Everyone else will finish tonight and we still have a lot more to do - learning styles, study techniques, etc. Boring! But, I did score in the 99th percentile overall on the test! We finally got in to a little bit of the books at the end of class, but the first 5 units are stuff I've already had since I've had developmental psych, nutrition, communication, etc. Sure hope it gets more exciting!

hmmm...mine still aren't posted. Maybe I should call and check on it tomorrow? When I pull up my transcript, it still shows A&P1 as "in progress". Give me my credit!!!
