Weatherford College Spring 2011 applicants

Published

Hi! Who is applying to Weatherford for the spring 2011 semester?

I took the TEAS yesterday and didn't do as well as I was hoping. I am going to retake it and hopefully then I will have 18 or 19 points. It seems that the point system has changed and is only 23 possible points now, rather than 26.

I really don't know if 18 or 19 will be enough, but I haven't completed Micro so that is going to hurt me. I figure it is worth a try though! You can't win if you don't play! lol.

So who else is applying? How many points does everyone have?

Well, I have already received TWO letters from WC since I turned in my app. Both times I really freaked out, but then realized they were from the financial aid office. haha! Well, I've been pretty busy with school so far this semester, we are doing a lot of work in our backyard, and I am working full time right now...so I've been busy. I'm actually about to go back to work right now. About a 1 1/2 weeks ago, my employer blocked social networking sites so I can't get on allnurses at work anymore. I actually just came home for lunch so I could get on!!!! Oh my goodness, I will be glad when this wait is over. I am just hoping that we all get in somewhere! I really wish you all the best of luck.

Last year letters started hitting mailboxes on May 1st. To me, that's a more realistic date to expect to see them. Of course I will be crossing my fingers and toes until then, but I would honestly be surprised to see them any earlier.

That would fit the getting them completed and mailed off, having a few days of rest, then the LVN group coming in to be processed time line (if I have the LVN date correct).

Plus, I believe I was told after April 1st. Although I have read and heard so much by now I can't keep up with it all.

EDIT: My apologies, WC applicants started receiving their letters on April 2nd last year. Sometimes it is not easy keeping the info on both schools straight in my head. So, less than a month to go!!

Haha, and obviously there was a little hiccup in the forum, and now I look like a maniac posting that so many times! LOL!!

After this weekend we will only have to wait half of a month!!! It's getting closer.

Three more weeks and hopefully we'll know something!

My little brother got married this past weekend, and it kept me busy from Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon. I told my husband Sunday night that I was so thankful for the distraction, because I literally did not think about Nursing School for 3 whole days! That is a record for me! :)

Lucky You! haha

Funny story... my Granddad unexpectedly sent me some stuff in the mail yesterday... in a BIG MANILLA ENVELOPE (you know... the kind I received last year with my Alternate letter from WC)! When I opened the mailbox last night, my heart literally stopped, and my stomach rose into my throat. I slowly pulled the envelope out of the mailbox, only to see that the return address was my Granddad's house, not Weatherford College.

I remember thinking when I saw it, "No way! That can't be my letter from WC. It's too soon. Oh My Gosh!! Is that my letter?!?!!! Pull it out of the mailbox you idiot!".

I had to call my Granddad and give him a hard time about it afterwards. Hopefully he won't be sending me anything else in big manilla envelopes until after I hear from WC and TCC.

HaHaHaHaHa! Thanks for sharing the story Dreamer!
