Hi! Who is applying to Weatherford for the spring 2011 semester?

I took the TEAS yesterday and didn't do as well as I was hoping. I am going to retake it and hopefully then I will have 18 or 19 points. It seems that the point system has changed and is only 23 possible points now, rather than 26.

I really don't know if 18 or 19 will be enough, but I haven't completed Micro so that is going to hurt me. I figure it is worth a try though! You can't win if you don't play! lol.

So who else is applying? How many points does everyone have?

Has anyone been accepted from the Alternate List yet? I'm still waiting for my magical phone call. The anticipation is killing me, but I'm also trying to be a bit realistic knowing there are only 20 spots for Spring and I have no idea where I sit on the Alternate List. I know TCC's letters go out in about 2 weeks, and KL said that's when the most turnover would take place. Ugh, I just want to know already!!

Have you heard anything yet, someday? I'm still waiting, trying to stay optimistic, but every day that passes is another day that I start to doubt my chances of getting a call. I've already prepared myself for the fact that I will be reapplying in January. If that turns out to be true, I think I'm going to take the Spring semester off and enjoy a bit of freedom before NS starts in August.

Am I doing this right? I am a little confused.

Prerequisite courses A, C (in progress), B, A = 4+2+3+4 = 13

The above divided by 4 gives me a GPA of 3.25, 4 pts = 17

I have all the corequisites, 5pts = 22

I know 23 is the max

I am studying for the TEAS currently, plan to take it this month. Points added to it from the TEAS will give me the max allowed of 23.

I did this correctly, RIGHT?:confused:

I believe you have 9 points right now. There is no way to get 17 points from the gpa. Yes there are 23 possible points. I hope this helps. It seems like if you do well on the TEAS you would have a pretty good shot at getting in.

4pts from the GPA, added it to the above to get the 17 :o

13+4+5 = 22

I was planning on going in next week to talk face to face, just thought I might get some insight here from others.

Okay, no you aren't doing it correctly. The most points you can get from the gpa is 6. You have 4. Then you get 5 points for the coreqs. There are 12 possible points from the TEAS.

12 (teas)+6(gpa)+5(coreqs)=23 (possible).

Right now you have 9 points. You can get up to 12 on the TEAS, but you won't know how many until you actually take it. The max you can get with your GPA is 21 (which is excellent).

I see! I basically did the GPA twice, in an odd round about way. THAT was where I was confused, it didn't seem right. THANKS!
