call and ask the specific school(s) your interested in about waitlists. generally where ever there is a decent priced program, a long wait list is sure to follow.

good luck!!

thanks i will , i also heard somtimes you can get into lpn quicker and then bridge to rn , i dont know how much of a difference it would be , thank you for the advice.:specs:

yes, if you chose to go the lpn route, there are ways to get your rn faster. some people take advantage of online degrees and such. sounds like you have done some research and just need tosort out the facts and come up with some sort of plan.

keep us updated!!

i sure will thanx for the info and support! :)

i heard that private school costs $6k-$9k......it is very EXPENS

IVE :nono: but good thing is that there's no waiting...

Private school for LPN cost $24,000 for my daughter. If you decide to go the LPN to RN route, try to get into a community college program.

ya thats pretty exspensive and im gonna have to pay for it outta pocket bcuz i dont want to finance anything ( married with two kids ) i dont need more bills! lol , i will just have to be patient and get on the list when the time comes. thanks everybody for the info :)

maybe look into technical school...that is where I am going. It is an LPN program, and the total tuition is only $2000...the only other expenses average out to about $1800 (books, fees, uniform, testing fees, etc.)

I am going LPN and then to RN at my school. Year 1 (LPN) is about $16,000 and I think Year 2 (RN) is $18,000. There is no wait list.

Not all community colleges are the lottery/waiting list type, some are competitive, so if your grades are good enough to be competitive, check around to see what is available. Good luck!

The tech school I'm attending supposedly had a 2-3 year wait list, but I got on the wait list in August of '07 and am starting clinicals next week. I find that if you get all the pre-reqs done it goes by faster, plus it worked out perfectly because i just finished all my gen. ed courses last semester except for one that i need to complete this summer
