im wondering , are there long waiting lists in the schools that are specific to just nursing ( like there are at say community college ) and also how much more is the costs of attending one of these schools? im not ready yet still have a long way to go ,im just trying to get informed on all the options . thanx all
I am talking about a community college, not private school. I decided to go back to school, I am older, I want to get as much as I can out of it. Sticking to community colleges or technical colleges to get prerequisites outof the way is what I am doing, I even will be trying to get my associate Degree in nursing through them, which if you have all the other classes out of the way will take 2 yrs to get. Once you have gotten your ADN, you can always take your classes on line for your BSN through a 4 yr college or university......... just something to think about.......

why don't you look into a community college, where are you located? Where I went to school, I think for all my books, it cost about $800, and then about $1600 for tuition for the yr......... that is just school stuff. I was worth it, and they also have the LPN mobility exam to try to get into the ADN program.
