I thought it might be nice to have a place for us to vent our frustrations with waiting until May 30th or so when letters start going out. I know I'm going nuts already!
How about introductions and a little info about each person?
I'm applying to both Bloomington and Indy-Lawrence for the Fall 2009 ASN programs. I turned in my apps this week with 4 As on the pre-reqs and a 90.0 on the TEAS. My eventual goal is at least getting a BSN, and if I feel like doing homework long enough, an MSN of some sort. I work full time now, but will hopefully only work part time if I get accepted. I'm so antsy to start preparing and finally feel like all of this is real!
Ok, so I'm a bit crazy and impulsively called Ivy Tech Fort Wayne. Spoke with the nursing program director. She said they are not sending them out util "after the end of the month." SO that's a direct quote from her for us Fort Wayne folks. Looks like it'll be June for us.
Nothing but Netflix in my mailbox this afternoon I'm starting to get a little bit crazy!
I'm scheduled to take a CPR course through my work on June 4th. The lady I signed up with said it's AHA certified, but even if it's not the exact right course I need, it's free and since it's during work, I'll be getting paid to be there!
Hey---- Does anyone want to call Indy and tell them that Greencastle letters went out and see if they'll budge on revealing the ship date of letters???? The nursing office receptionists have been super nice, from what I've dealt with.
I got my acceptance letter to Greencastle as well. Reply date is June 2~!!
Waiting on letters from other places I applied to. Indy is my 1st choice.
Hope it comes before june 2nd.
I did not expect a letter in the mail today at all. very shocking. 2 of my other friends got in as well. We'll see what happens!....
Woohoo, congrats! I hope you get into your first choice as well, but it's got to be a huge load off of your shoulders to know that no matter what, you'll be an official nursing student in the fall!
I am not applying until fall, but I took the TEAS today. . . I'm super excited because I got a 96!! I don't mean to brag and I'm sorry if it seems like I am but I'm just so tickled I had to share with someone! I know everyone here understands how much stress and pressure this whole journey is.
Looks like it'll be June for us.
