I was just wondering if anyone else out there took the NCLEX exam this past Wednesday in California and have seen their name posted on the BON website? I took the test in San Francisco and got ALL 265 questions! I left pearson with a huge knot in my stomach and I felt like I had been hit by a ton of bricks! I was so drained!
So now the wait is what is killing me! Yesterday the website was not updated for some reason so I had hope that my name would appear today, but no such luck. Now I have to wait until Tuesday since the website doesn't get updated until Monday night!

Our class president told me that two classmates of mine took the test on the same day, both finished with the same # of questions. One found out 2 business days later, and passed, and the other found out 17 business days later and passed. So, I guess we should just hang in there, don't make any expensive purchases for now, be frugal and hope for the best. Ahh...thanks (and I'm a woman :))! I'm glad we have each other to talk to. Well, maybe the CA BON is really behind! That's a big gap in result time for your classmates. The BON is a true mystery. Who knows how things operate over there! You're right, no big purchases (maybe a lotto ticket)! If we don't find out anything tomorrow morning then we hit the Labor Day holiday back up. No news is good news right?
For all the San Francisco test takers and ones close by......if things don't go as planned and we have to battle this again....would anyone be willing to maybe do a review together? I know of Sally Lagerquist of S.F. who helps with NCLEX review or if anyone knows of any other NCLEX review. Just a thought! We don't have to think about that until the time comes!

pearsonvue can not give you the answer and neither can the board over the phone, unfortunately because you are a foreign nurse all you can do is wait for the mail, you could give it a little bit longer and then ask if they can resend your results.
I passed! I took my NCLEX on 26 Aug and got 256 questions. This morning (1 Sept) I found my name on the CA BRN website so they did issue me a license even though I had an ITIN number instead of SSN!

And as we have mentioned before about it, if you do not have a visa to work in the US, then having the license now is useless to you. There is not one thing that you can do legally with it to work. And with no visas available, still not a good idea to use the ITIN#.
And for the others that are reading here, and are US citizens:
Average wait time is ten days, not three days.
It can be as little as three days, or as much as a month.
Until your file is actually complete and reviewed, there will be no license issued for you, and hence no name on the BRN website.
For those without a SSN#:
The letter does not go out until 2 1/2 weeks later, if in the US, then the results are there a couple of days later in the mail, but no license number. And if out of the US, then the average wait date is about a month. And no license issued until you have a SSN#.

found out yesterday morning, i guess 265 the first time then 75 questions the next....you never know...good grief, so glad i don't have to take that thang again!!!!! :lol_hitti
My AOS is pending and I'm waiting for my EAD (I'm a dependent of my husbands AOS on EB2 and the PD was current when we filed). I got ITIN because I'm on H4. If nothing else, at least the ITIN helped me get the actual license even if I can't work. Otherwise I would have had to wait for the EAD and then apply for the SSN which usually takes several weeks and then send that to CA BRN and wait for the license.
