EMPLOYMENT-BASED VISA AVAILABILITY DURING THE COMING MONTHS
from the DOS website: The current level of demand in many of the Employment-based categories has been MUCH LOWER than anticipated. As a result, the June cut-off dates have been advanced significantly in an effort to maximize number use under the annual numerical limits. At this time it appears likely that there will be additional advances during the coming months.
this is great news for all of us waiting for visa numbers and for all of us who thinks that the CIR bill is the only way to get in immigrant visa.....let me remind you that the dates moving forward is NOT always the case. Visa numbers can retrogress and go back a few years as what happened before but this gives us a glimmer of hope
how to use the Visa Bulletin chart. example: if a Philippine-born nurse files his/her I-140 BEFORE JUNE 01, 2005 it means that an immigrant visa number is available for you and your family and processing will continue. This is applicable for both Consular Processing and Adjustment of Status.......
this is good news:visa bulletin for July 2007 is CURRENT for all EB's category!!!another good news for me....after barely 10 months in our facility, my boss is recommending that i be promoted to Head Nurse in charge of 2 units.....whether i get the promotion or not is not important to me....this only proves that a "Filipino" foreign grad can excel in America
Congrats!!! :balloons: :balloons: We're proud of you, bro. That was fast.
Same here...got the same response but not just now but since last week.... talked to my lawyer and she said all docs are ok....
Hi fruity. I spoke to an operator at the NVC, she said that the Biographic forms i submitted last time are not valid anymore, meaning I have to submit another DS230 form page 1 and 2 and also a New NBI clearance. She said that Instructions are sent to my lawyer. anyway, anyone of you guys know where i can download DS230 form? thank you very much.

maybe i should prepare mine too. for how long does ds230 valid anyways? and the nbi clearance, is it just 6 months or 1 year?
Actually no. The Visa Bulletin is only current for the month that is listed for. These new dates do not go into effect until July 1st. They are not in effect now.
And those listing are only current for the month of July. There is nothing out about August, or anything later. So in effect, the retrogression for nurses is not officially over. There are still only a limited number of visas that come out per year, it is not open ended for all that wish to come. And many that are in the US under other visas, such as the H1-B, are also under this same category for the green card.
Please do not expect this to go on and on and remain current. This is just an open space for immigration services to clear up petitions that have been pending for sometime.

the eb3 is not for nurses only, and thousands (a virtual deluge of eager new applicants) are waiting, and filing. there is no reason to be happy. very, very few nurses are going to make it, desperately praying, hoping and fiercely competing against each other for a very, very few precious us visas. better look at other countries for opportunities. this very temporary event is best seen in a realistic view, nothing more so better to just forget it and move on with your lives as nurses.
"if you can wait, and not be tired by waiting...." kipling, if
It means "visa numbers" are available to all applicants, even for Change of Status.
They are not currently available, the new dates in the July Bulletin do not go into effect until July 1st. They are not in effect now.
And it will only be effective for those that are already in the US and meet the requirements of being here 90 days or more for most countries to even have a chance of getting one of these. Anyone that is going to come over to the US next week is not going to have a chance at getting one of these. They are still not unlimited and the other requirements still need to be met. It is truly only those that are in the US under the H-4 status and have an employer lined up, or even those that have the OPT. Those that came here on the tourist visa, it is going to be almost impossible to meet the requirements in a timely fashion.
Dates in the Bulletin are only in effect for one month, and when they are gone if earlier, they are gone.

Thanks be to God! I hope it will remain current despite the advisory...Nevertheless, may God's will be done at all times.
