EMPLOYMENT-BASED VISA AVAILABILITY DURING THE COMING MONTHS
from the DOS website: The current level of demand in many of the Employment-based categories has been MUCH LOWER than anticipated. As a result, the June cut-off dates have been advanced significantly in an effort to maximize number use under the annual numerical limits. At this time it appears likely that there will be additional advances during the coming months.
this is great news for all of us waiting for visa numbers and for all of us who thinks that the CIR bill is the only way to get in immigrant visa.....let me remind you that the dates moving forward is NOT always the case. Visa numbers can retrogress and go back a few years as what happened before but this gives us a glimmer of hope
how to use the Visa Bulletin chart. example: if a Philippine-born nurse files his/her I-140 BEFORE JUNE 01, 2005 it means that an immigrant visa number is available for you and your family and processing will continue. This is applicable for both Consular Processing and Adjustment of Status.......

I have a question......is June 2005 the PD i.e. the date I-140 is approved? Or does it refer to the date the I-140 is filed?
Thanks

for healthworkers not needing labor certifications like nurses and PT's, the Priority Date is when the I-140 is filed......

Good news. Everyone will be waiting for next month's Visa Bulletin
This month's Visa Bulletin was a big jump from the last. If the trend continues (knock on wood), next month's Bulletin will cover those who filed in 2006 and hopefully visa fee bills and DS-230 forms are going to start to be sent again and those whose DS-230 forms that were previously sent back because of unavailability of visas can be accepted again.
I'm sure this is the same for those undergoing AOS.
Thanks for the update.

Am i right in thinking British nurses would come under rest of the world pd Jun 05
Yes, I think so. Philippines is Jun 05 as well. I don't know why India, China, and Mexico are still in '03. Philippines is usually lump w/ those countries.
Oh well.. no one's gonna complain about it.

Indeed ma'am! Honestly, right after I saw the bulletin, I jumped with happiness! I hope it will continue to move forward(never moving back) and be current...
Nevertheless, let not my will be done but instead, may the most holy will of God be done at all times...
