Well I put up a good fight but I give in I am going to quite ! I am not going to recount all the details but due it all hit the fan today :crying2: Two weeks or so ago I was in an car wreck on the my way to work I hurt my shoulder and ended up with disks pressing on my spinel cord causing me to lose some felling in my hands and legs .

I work on the 2nd floor and my office has no elevator so yesterday after almost killing my self on the step trying to more or less craw up them at this point it I had had anuff and told my boss it was hard for me to walk up the steps . today I was called down to HR and told that they where going to fire me today for messing up ( due to a medical problem I have control of ) but because they "love me" they are going to give me a job down stairs :yeah: sounds good right ? the problem is I have to take a pay cut ,I am also being made to work 40 hours when I olney work 32 now and I have to be there at 7:00 am (i have no ride at this time ) I also am NOT soppiest to lift anything heavy ,use my bad arm ,or stand up for to long ! I am in quite a lot of pain and the idea of having to be up for 8plus hours a day is killing me . they also told me I was in bad standing and would never be rehired ? and they cut off my health care with 4 days notes  thank god I have medicare as a backup .

well thats my vent ,please not cracks on the spelling today :)I always said I would go back to school if I lost my job but how in the world am i going to do that now ??

Well everyone is entitled to their own opinion when you post blogs.... Sometimes there is no other way to tell the truth other than being Blunt and to the Point.

".....& you deserve it!"

WTH is that supposed to mean? Awfully quick to call a judgement on something about which you know very little. You ought to rein in that attitude a little.

Fine I'll take in the attitude. However, I've collected unemployment from the West Coast to the East Coast and have a good idea what I'm talking about so...

DO NOT QUIT. DO NOT QUIT. Please get a lawyer.

If you quit you will be totally unable to collect unemployment.

Where are your doctor's notes? I truly do not understand the part about cutting out your health benefits, and if you have medicare then aren't you covered for most things anyway?

Get a lawyer, please!!

Best wishes.

I had plan to stay tell they fired me for just that reasion but I am now told I would not be able to get unemployment due to the fact I get ssdi. so taking that into acount quiting seems better then being fired on a new job app.

as for the health benefits they tell me it has to do with a contract they signed with the heath care compunty and having to work so many hours I have worked there 5 years and have had my benefits cut off and given back to me maney times I have lost count . I turned in one set of doctors note and was sent home . I was told I have to bring in custom notes from the surgen I have no idea wwhat help it will be

Maybe if I get a doctors note that says must pt must be given all her benefits back , reg pay and hours back it would help ?

I know you can't be getting Medicaid and SSDI and working as a nurse at the same time. Your SSDI and Medicaid should have been history when you went to work as a nurse and don't be surprised that's the decision when the system catches up with your activities. As far as I'm concerned, you're disqualified from benefits since you're already on Social Security's benefit system, dude. Get real! You either get benifits under SSDI and do NOT work or work and sacrifice your SSDI!

OP is definitely not a nurse.

However, you are flat-out wrong when you say that you cannot work and receive SSDI. There are income levels, below which you can retain your SSDI benefits and continue to work.

You are very harsh in your judgments.

Ok first you have no idea what you are talking here ! there are two kinds of ss one is SSI (for the poor) the other is SSDI ( if you have a disability ) with SSDI you can work but you caped to what you can make . also if you work you can take you jobs benefits your jobs benefits become primary and medicare becomes 2 nd .

No. Your doctor's note will not likely influence your employer. I believe there must be a whole lot more to the story than you are disclosing.

SSI is disability too. It's for the poor and those that didn't put enough work time into Social Security to collect SSDI. They are both disability. Anyway, you're really pushing the tax payer to demand SSDI, Medicare, AND a job with Benefits. You're on the border there and I think you're crossing a line, personally. I think greed is the order of the day in consideration of claiming double benefits and paychecks. I can't believe the taxpayer tolerates you doing that. They shouldn't have too!

Ya I know I am getting rich off of that $500.00 a month :yeah: wow I am so rich why should I want to work? and by the way I pay taxs to ! let see how munch does it cost you to get to work? it cost me $450.00 a month thats just so I can get there are back add on $100.00 cash forr a round trip cab that last time I had to go to the doctoer and $60.00 cash to go to the store because I cannot drive . would you like to switch lives for month ? and then tell me if you would apply for ssdi or not ? by the way I did not work for 6 years because I could not get a job with my diabilty and at that time I did not get ssdi and had not income and then I got a big $300.00 a month from ssdi .
