If you can get the material online without having to go to the class, why not just do that? I would hope that you could email any questions to the instructor. Good luck with your studying. When you get the test out of the way, you will feel so much better.
I think because I signed up for the live class, I have to go to all the lectures to validate their passing guarantee...
Today was a little better but *sigh* I'm really glad I won't see some of my classmates again.
Sooooo...Kaplan puts all their lectures online complete with audio and powerpoint slides. They go over the same stuff in the classroom. It's helpful stuff, but when I can do it at home and not have my idiot classmates asking stupid questions, one has to wonder. *sigh* Please tell me it either gets better or someone else feels the same way. I'm grateful for the material, but I'm so much more of an independent learner. Arg!
That's why I went for the online Kaplan course: no crazy schedule to work around and no frustrating talkative classmates to deal with, plus it worked out to be $150 less (I registered during one of their promotions). And I do pretty well with online classes too.
Well I received a $150 discount on the class through my school and didn't even realize that the live class was just a review of the online material with a person. I am finding myself picking up things in the live class, it's just more subtle and I'm learning patience. I do like being able to ask questions about the rationales. I also like taking the tests on paper too, even though I know the real thing will be computerized. I've been sitting in the front of the class and forcing myself to focus and I'm also finding it helpful to see the information in different ways, listening and participating in class and then reviewing what I need to online.
I can't get the damn videos to stream properly and I am using Firefox/realplayer and have DSL... plus if you knew you were more of a individual learner, why would you take the classroom course... the online course is cheaper anyway cause you are not paying someones salary...
Weird. I'm using Firefox too and I haven't had any problems. Maybe try updating Real Player? I know my instructor said that they have tech support available if you can't access the online resources.
