CONGRATS on finishing the interview! Now onto the next step!

Has anybody done theirs yet I am not looking for the questions. Was it intense or laid back?

I don't know if everyone got the same questions...?‍♀️so its really hard to say.

This can also be very subjective... Depending on your personal strengths and weakness. I feel like the faculty did the best job they could do to evaluate candidates via the platform provided. I think overall, they did an outstanding job. I am sure you will do great!! Good luck!! ?

Thank you. I wonder if we all have the same questions

You're welcome. Sorry I can't tell you more. It's likely they did give us all the same questions... Or made different questions based on the platform. IDK LOL

The waiting until May 15 will be hard. LOL

Just finished! I am so excited! Good luck everyone!

Hello from Detroit!

I finished it yesterday.

Questions were fairly straightforward, but I rambled, fumbled, and mumbled. I kind of got too obsessed with the details; lighting, background, and acoustics, etc. For me it was more nerve-racking than a face-to-face, because I'm my worst critic and seeing myself on the screen gives me more to judge.

If you're like me, consider covering the portion of the screen to avoid looking at yourself, but still be able to visualize the timer. Practice speaking in front of the camera, but it is not the same until you actually do it. It may also be helpful to have reminders around to breathe, calm down, and focus on items you want to highlight. Also, if you're like me who gets into tangents and like to tell stories, be very aware of the timer. The last half seems to go much quicker than the first.

Regardless, I'm impressed with the effort they put into the digital interview. The introduction was kind and reassuring, and confirms what you hear about VCU.

I hope to meet you guys in the future.

Finished my interview yesterday as well. I think had I been hooked up to the monitor it would've shown SVT. I am sure you all rocked yours. I didn't feel super confident about mine haha but gave it my best. May 15th hurry! Good luck to anyone who is still interviewing!

It's super awkward watching oneself in video recorded response...but I'm done, thankfully. So happy to have been given a chance to interview with VCU. Good luck everyone, although at this point we know it's not really about luck, it's about what we've done how ready we are to jump into this with our eyes open. I'm certain everyone who interviewed for this cohort is nothing short of well-prepared and mentally ready. Be safe!

I'm done too!! Praying for a favorable outcome this year!! Good luck to us all

Anyone interested in talking about something else to keep our minds busy for the next few weeks? Haha. What do y’all like to do/work on (you can’t say study) to burn time? I interviewed on the 15th so I’ve been trying to stay busy for a little while to keep my mind at ease, and it’s been nice! The front and back yard and landscaping at our house is perfectly manicured haha.
