I saw this before and was very disappointed. Basically the show is about the nursing shortage and how we are going to (half-azz) fix it by getting nurses from other countries.
IMO it makes you feel sorry for the people in the other countries because the experienced nurses are so few and now we are persuading them to come to the US.
This is only my opinion, but the whole thought of bringing people to this country by promising them one year salaries that they could not make in a lifetime is cruel and stupid. The actual clips they did show have nurses working with substandard equipment and technology (compared to the US)
I can't remember exactly, but I think that it is private companies that are recruiting these nurses...I wander if they tell them about the small print? I think that these nurses would end up being something of an indentured servant after they pay back all the fees and rent etc....
