Vanderbilt Pre-Specialty Entry 2021

I noticed there was not a thread created for Vanderbilt pre-specialty nursing for 2021, so I created one. Is anyone already preparing for this upcoming application cycle?

Hey Yall! 

I am applying to the PMHNP program! My stats are prereqs: 4.0 and nursing 3.85... I heard they really look at essays and letters of rec. Who did you guys ask for LOR from? I asked from my profs who where my professor and clincial instructors.

My LORs are from a professor in undergraduate school, my nursing supervisor, and the Dean from my former graduate program. 
 

edited to add: the Dean is who accompanied me on the study abroad trip.

I asked my advisor/professor, my research lab supervisor, and my boss from my job as a peer health educator.

Quick question: do we list the school that we are currently attending in our application? If so, would a proof-of-enrollment form suffice, in lieu of an official transcript?

I applied to the pre-specialty-Adult Gero Primary Care.

Did any of you list other schools you are applying to?

I’m applying to AG-ACNP. I applied a couple years ago and was waitlisted. I didn’t apply to other programs then, but I am now as a back-up. I would list the other schools you applied to simply because nursing is an honest profession. I imagine most people have also applied to multiple programs.

I put all my eggs in one basket..I only applied to Vanderbilt.
