Vanderbilt Pre-Specialty Entry 2021

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I noticed there was not a thread created for Vanderbilt pre-specialty nursing for 2021, so I created one. Is anyone already preparing for this upcoming application cycle?

Did any of you guys list in the application what schools your are applying to?

Hey guys ? I am applying this cycle as well for the Mid-Wifery/FNP dual-focus program

I am applying for this next cycle!

What specialty are you going for?(:

nurse midwifery!

Oh and does anyone know the grand total for the entire program? I understand it varies by program but I cannot seem to find a total for any of them.

I think if I remember it is about $170,000 total

Is there a resume section? If so I cannot see it

Hey ya'll. I'm a current PreSpecialty student.

I remember how many concerns and questions I had during the application process last year, so I'm happy to be a resource if you have questions!

Saw the post above about cost. For 2020-2021, the tuition is roughly $74K for the PreSpecialty year and $70K for the Specialty year (this will likely increase for 2021-2022). You will receive an email about financial aid and tuition cost even before you're accepted, so keep an eye out. I think I received it in January. Of course, there are other costs that you need to be prepared for (housing, books, supplies, scrubs, etc), but they will offer you a loan that should be able to cover all of that in case you need it.

Not that I have noticed, but there is an experience section which is where I put all of my medical experience (work and volunteer)

Hello and thank you so much! I am just about complete with my application..just making some finishing touches on my statement of purpose. Do you have any tips? Also, may I ask what specialty you chose?

How do I upload my unofficial transcripts and other materials I want to submit, such as new or updated CVs, resumes, transcripts, or other documents like authored papers?

You will be prompted to upload unofficial transcripts on the Academics page of the application. Other materials you wish to provide can be uploaded from your Applicant Status page once you have submitted your application. The Upload Materials option is not available until you submit your application.

Is it recommended to add continuing education courses if it is relevant to the specialty that I am applying for? I have taken several through my employer that are related to Midwifery. Is this something I should add? If so, where?
