  1. I'm in the same boat! I haven't paid the deposit for the direct entry program I was accepted to, but I'm strongly considering it. This waitlist business is super duper tricky; I guess it all comes down to how strongly we want to attend Vandy, and if we're willing to take that risk to wait. Best of luck to you however you choose to move forward! Oh they definitely weren't kidding about how strongly they considered the essays! It both gave me confidence and scared me LOL. Likewise! I felt relief that I wasn't immediately rejected, but I definitely wonder now what I could've done to stand out amongst the other 190 priority decision applicants ?. Yes, there are always options! At the end of the day, it's all about considering the different ways to reach our goals. You have endless potential, no matter what option you decide to go with. This upcoming May will mark one year that I've finished undergrad, so I'm considering letting myself relax before jumping straight into more school ?. Here's to the waitlist hopefully moving this Spring!
  2. For anyone waitlisted: how are you feeling about it so far? We likely won't hear back until April-May, with June 1st being the latest. It's kind of a gamble considering that other schools' deposits are due soon.
  3. The director for NM said once before that the waitlist moves fast! So that should give us some hope ?
  4. I was waitlisted for NM. Not an acceptance, but not a rejection either! I have my fingers crossed for y'all
  5. Hey! I think you'll be fine; push comes to shove, if the payment didn't go through in time for the priority cohort, you will be considered for the rolling admissions cohort. While they do place emphasize on the former, there are still students who are accepted from the rolling admissions cohort. They'll likely get their decisions in March as opposed to mid February.
  6. Hello, After completing the PreSpecialty program you will receive a MSN, but not a BSN. The MSN is available for both ASN/RN students and those with a BA/BS in another degree, the requirements would just be different for admission. I just got the info from the website; hope it helps!
  7. @Psych99143 Hey! So definitely not a Vandy student (yet, hopefully LOL) but I hope I can share somethings that can help! At the very least, this'll boost the forum so maybe a current Vandy student can answer. At the Open House back in October, they said they were back to face-to-face clinically. I think we'll still need to move to Tennessee. I can only really speak for midwifery, but the director was still adamant about how we should probably get a 9 month lease. I think, even before the pandemic, they did a mix of online and in-person format for lectures. Can't say anything about the labs though. If you want to talk to current students, you can go to the Open House website. Just search up "Vanderbilt school of nursing open house" and it should be the first link. There, they've listed the emails of some current students. If no one replies to you here, maybe you could email one of them and ask any relevant questions. All else fails, you could email Paddy Peerman and ask too. Hope this helped!
  8. Hi all! For everyone who has applied for both early decision and priority, did you notice a green "admission deposit" button on your OPUS before acceptance? Or is it there regardless of admission decision?
  9. @Deesjay3x @EmoryAMN2021 Thank you! @queenrus Thank you as well! Yup everything is checked off except for my pending prereqs and my degree, which I'm a little worried about. I think the last time they checked something off for me was on the 5th.
  10. Hi all! For those who applied for an earlier deadline: what time did y'all notice the portal change on the notification date? I've been so anxious for this upcoming Friday.
  11. Hi all! There was a bit of a snafu with my app; I completed an application for Spring 2021 instead of Fall 2021, told NYU admissions, and they told me to go ahead and switch it since I hadn't sent it in. Long story short I have the entirety of my Fall app finished, but I lost my professors' recommendations in the process. Would it be worth it to ask them to send their recs again? Are y'all applying with recs?
  12. Hi all! Do y'all think it would be a bad idea to email admissions and ask if they have everything they need from you? I have red x's across the board, but I believe that I've turned in everything needed. Yesterday they emailed me about transcripts, but I replied and sorted everything out.
  13. Hi all! Quick question: do we list the school that we are currently attending in our application? If so, would a proof-of-enrollment form suffice, in lieu of an official transcript?
  14. @KAS212 Other than my spelling blunder, it wasn't too bad! They give you an extra two minutes to gather your thoughts. I get the email everyday too!
