I noticed there was not a thread created for Vanderbilt pre-specialty nursing for 2021, so I created one. Is anyone already preparing for this upcoming application cycle?

The cost of prespecialty year (tuition and fees only, does not include housing): $78,177.
FNP year tuition and fees: $73,209.
These figures came from the financial aid packet sent 1/27/21 “Credit Hours by Semester”
According to Kristie Smith, VUSN Financial Aid Director, tuition is raising by 4.5% next year so it’ll be even more expensive. Cost of attendance for 2 years seems like it will be nearly 200k!

wow thanks. Good to know!
Hi! I just wanted to encourage you guys since I was obsessively monitoring the 2020 forum when applying to the program last year. I was initially waitlisted in 2020, and then got pulled from the waitlist in June and accepted the offer. I have absolutely 0 regrets about coming to Vandy, and have had a really great experience.
So, if you get waitlisted, don't lose hope! And if you were already accepted, congratulations and feel free to reach out if you have any questions ?

Not sure if anyone ever replied to this, but I was actually in this exact same situation last year ? I submitted my payment late, and they basically told me they couldn’t guarantee anything.
I got waitlisted, which was understandable, then accepted from the waitlist in April!
