Vanderbilt Pre-Specialty Entry 2021

I noticed there was not a thread created for Vanderbilt pre-specialty nursing for 2021, so I created one. Is anyone already preparing for this upcoming application cycle?

I have no idea what it means that I have still not found anything out yet. I applied prior to the priority deadline for PMHNP. I can't tell from this feed if they are just sending out admissions decisions randomly or what but I am for sure a nervous wreck over it.

Same! I applied way before priority deadline. I tried to figure out if they're going alphabetically or something but it doesn't seem that way either! I'm burning a hole thru my laptop with all this refreshing! They gotta tell us by tomorrow night right? I'm STRESSED!

I applied to PMHNP before priority deadline as well and have also not heard back! ?

I contacted admissions on Tuesday and they said they would let us know by the end of the week so surely by tomorrow night we'll know something!

You don't think they consider Saturday or Sunday as the end of the week do you?...

People who have been admitted or waitlisted, did your application status change or did a letter pop up?

My status never changed. Still says submitted. Once I clicked on my application and scrolled just above the checklist....I saw the update. 

I hope you receive your answer soon. It's so nerve wracking to wait.

Mine still says Submitted, but a yellow bar at the top of your application checklist appears when an admission decision letter is posted. The email we received after applying said all correspondence would be through email, so it is a little confusing! I am direct entry, though, and got in to AGPCNP and this was how I found out on Monday. Hope you hear soon too, @txallie

Hi @kcheck5 sorry for the confusion but I did get in for AGPCNP last Monday night. I was just saying that mine still says "submitted" as well....but once you click on the app it will show the status update thingy with the "view" button.

I do feel for many of the posters here who are still waiting on their decisions.

I remember last Monday after 5pm when posters received their results and I kept checking my portal and did not see a change....I was worried....but maybe an hour later my decision posted. I was very nervous.  

The positive side of this whole waiting game with Vanderbilt is that the fact is by not hearing anything, and by not receiving a denial, that means Vandy is still actively working on your application.

I tried to fix my tag!! Haha! Sorry. It was 3pm in the NW when someone on here gave the notification that the applications were being updated. Glad I was in all the Vandy 2021 forums ? It was so nervewracking for sure. I was precepting on my unit and my orientee was so nervous  and excited whenever I kept hitting refresh.
