Hey everyone! I couldn't find this thread anywhere so figured that I would start one for all of us who applied to Vanderbilt's Pre-Specialty Entry program (for non-RNs) this fall. I applied for the PMHNP specialty. What about you?! :)
From what I've heard, you need a 3.9 or 4.0 GPA and at least 90th percentile GRE scores to receive an invitation to apply for the full ride, and these invitations are sent out with acceptance letters. The smaller merit scholarships are disclosed later on in the financial aid offer, I think.
Seconding what mentalhealthadvocate asked, are you guys calling your speciality or just the main admissions office? I'm so antsy. I just want to know before I leave the country as I won't be home to check my mail!
I'm sure you could just call whoever and tell them that. If you have the wrong department, they will transfer you. They're running behind and you need to know!
I called ******* Asst Director of Admissions. She seemed like she had heard from a million and one of us in the last two days, but she let me know that they will be sending a letter out AND updating our status on the application page. She let me know that it would happen either today or tomorrow. They're doing their best!

I would just add that you should not call your specialty directly, as they will not be able to tell you anything unless they happen to have your file in front of them. NMW faculty specifically requested that applicants not call them directly for this reason, so I assume the other specialties are similar.
