  1. Haha, nice pic! I just received my email about the status change and wanted to update you guys! Good luck to everyone waiting and congrats to my fellow acceptees!
  2. @JNEM, I guess they're way more behind that she let on to me. I'm guessing it's taking them longer to print out our acceptance letters, but when they print them they should update it on our status online at the same time. If it makes you feel any better, I still have seen a change on my online status yet. I'm guessing now their time is consumed with getting open house ready. Boo
  3. They didn't tell me anything about scholarship notifications or deposit due dates. I also didn't ask...so there's that.
  4. No actual letter yet. I am going to open house as well, just RSVP'd. My status has not changed on my application page either, still says "submitted." According to what Cheryl told me, we should be hearing today, pre-specialty people. Good luck to all those waiting to find out!
  5. Ok, another update. I actually went over to the SON and talked to Admissions personally. YAY I got in! FNP Pre-Specialty. Moving on from that to update you guys on where they're at. So, they told me that they are printing all the papers today. This new system is all types of crazy. They will start printing and sending letters out tomorrow through Thursday. Your status will not be updated until YOUR SPECIFIC letter is printed. This means that you may or may not know until Thursday. Good luck to everyone! And let us know if you're going to Open House this weekend!
  6. I called ******* Asst Director of Admissions. She seemed like she had heard from a million and one of us in the last two days, but she let me know that they will be sending a letter out AND updating our status on the application page. She let me know that it would happen either today or tomorrow. They're doing their best!
  7. So they're not even going to send an email? I'm so tired of the wait! I just want to knooooow!
  8. Anybody heard anything yet? Oh, and I was FNP and did not interview either. I had been told FNP wouldn't interview this year, so I'm assuming that is what happened.
  9. Hey everyone! Congrats to everyone that got in! Sucks that it took some of you so long to find out. I couldn't make it to Admitted Students Day, but I'm planning on heading over to ATL this weekend to go to the information session on Monday. I was wondering if anyone else would be going or wanted to meet up? I was going to scout some neighborhoods and apartments to figure out where I want to live. Suggestions are welcome from anybody who's already in the area!!
  10. I applied. Anxiously awaiting as well. Congrats on Yale...and Emory, right?
  11. I'm with you. I also applied to FNP. It was my understanding that our specialty didn't have an interview. I actually work at Vanderbilt and I went and spoke to them a few months ago. They told me that they don't interview. They base your acceptance on your overall picture and most of the focus is your interview questions and essay :) Hope that helps!
  12. So, someone asked for stats and I'll be happy to give mine. I got accepted to the FNP group. I also got accepted to UAB. I'm waiting to hear back from Vanderbilt and Boston in February. STATS: 157 Verbal, 159 Quantitative, 4.5 Writing Undergrad: 3.25 GPA, BS in Biology Pre-Req's: Completed, 4.0 GPA Current Job: Research Assistant at Vanderbilt University (3 years) Submitted the application end of November (don't remember the exact day) I'm so sorry to hear how many people they haven't gotten through. I hope they do soon! The wait is the worst part! Good luck to all of you still waiting. For all those that have been accepted, are you going to Student Day?
  13. I got in too! YAY!! Good luck to everyone else!
  14. Thank you to whoever started this post. One of my friends already in the Direct Entry program at Vanderbilt told me to sign up for this and chat up the people applying to the same programs as me! I've finished applying to all the programs I'm applying to! YAY! It feels good to be done with them. Everybody loves stats, so here are mine: I finished my last pre-req in October and ended up with a 4.0 in pre-reqs. I had a 3.3 GPA in undergrad with a BS in Biology and 157V, 159Q, 4.5W on the GRE. I've been working in research for the last three years studying delirium in the ICU and ARDS in pulmonary patients. I applied to Univ of Alabama Birmingham, UCSF, Boston College, Emory, Vandy, and Yale. I already received my acceptance to UAB, but I decided to turn it down because ultimately the program for direct entry was too long and I wasn't sure I really wanted to live in Birmingham. So, Let me know how many more of you out there are applying to these schools and who's excited to hear back from Yale next week?!
