Vanderbilt Pre-Specialty Applicants 2014

Published

Hey everyone! I couldn't find this thread anywhere so figured that I would start one for all of us who applied to Vanderbilt's Pre-Specialty Entry program (for non-RNs) this fall. I applied for the PMHNP specialty. What about you?! :)

I just called admissions. She said "they're planning on sending letters out today but looks like you're gonna be waitlisted". I'm not sure how I feel! I guess I'm just happy that there's still a chance. And I applied direct entry CNM...So any of you out there that are debating ;) haha

I say good for you! I would be happy to be waitlisted at this point since it doesn't look like CNMs are getting in the first group of acceptances if we haven't heard yet. I hope to get this same news.

Heyyy Everyone, I've been following the forum for a while. Just called ***** office and was told that I've been admitted! She said I should be expecting my letter! Pray you guys hear some good news soon

Congrats! That's awesome!! What specialty did you apply for and are you already an RN or prespecialty?

Thanks! FNP...pre-specialty. Not an RN

are they being nice about people who call and ask for their decisions? I want to call and ask because I want to know but I also don't want to be bothersome since I am sure they are very busy.

Congrats!!! As many before have asked, do you mind sharing stats? It's nice to know if I might have a chance. Again congrats...that's so exciting!!!

Hi! CNM applicant and eternal lurker here, this is my first post! I just called and they were pretty friendly about it and almost apologetic for not getting decisions out more efficiently. I was waitlisted. I've been accepted to Seattle U's APNI program so I'll probably be turning down the waitlist once those letters arrive (likely next week, said the nice lady on the phone!).

The lady I spoke to was nice...I'm sure they understand that we're really anxious

3.7 GPA, 154/155 GRE...quantitative/verbal.

My application page has not been updated though

Just wondering if they updated your application page with their decision?

Thanks for sharing your stats!!! I appreciate it.

Has anyone from PMHNP pre-speciality heard or called the admissions office? I think I am going to try over my lunch break today. I'm so nervous, but I just want to know! Congrats to everyone who was accepted and waitlisted :)
