Figured I'd start a thread for those of us applying to the Vandy nurse residency program for 2011 to share thoughts, feelings, questions and to network with eachother a bit.

I'm Duluth! I'm a new grad with a previous degree in Biology. I'm applying for the Adult Critical Care track, with hopes of matching to Trauma or Emergency Services.

Hey Duluth! I am applying to the critical care track as well! I sent in my application last week, so now I guess it is just a waiting game until the last week in September.

They told me that we should know by the last week of this month so I am guessing by next week we should definitely know since they start interviews on October 1st

Yeah that is what they told me too...that we should get an email during the last week of September regarding the next steps. So hopefully soon!!

Dang, I got turned down. My GPA is 3.77, I have a previous degree, and 3 years work experience for Marriott International, but because of my lack of recent work experience and volunteer experience, I got turned down. Oh well, one door closed is another opened somewhere. Good luck to you all!!!
