Hi! I'm starting a thread for Vanderbilt MSN Fall 2019. Anyone else applying/re-applying too? Please comment!

That's good! I remember someone in the forum saying leeway would be given on the priority date due to the app not being available on 9/15. Glad to hear they are sticking by it.
It sounds like the end of November if we look at past years. I did ask admissions about secession and they said end of January/ early February (earlier than prior years) so I'd assume interviews will need to happen before the end of December. They don't do interviews for FNP or WHNP according to prior year applicants.
I applied to the direct entry Nurse Midwife program. My transcripts were all in before Nov 1st, but the Official Transcripts check didn't turn green until Nov 1st. I'm glad there's a little leeway this year.
My academic reference was from my advisor in my online RN-BSN program. She said she couldn't speak on behalf of the school. I hope it still counts as an academic advisor since she knows best what I'm capable of.

I am coming in VERY late to the game here. I basically "discovered" Vanderbilt's prespecialty-entry msn program today, having been looking at schools in Florida for 2020. I was just wondering, with the priority deadline now past, does anyone think there is any chance of getting in for 2019?
The programs I had been looking at require additional prerequisites and the TEAS and so I knew there would be no way to get in for next year. But it seems Vanderbilt does not require GRE/TEAS and only has the core preqs. At the moment, I will have completed all my preqs by dec - except for Micro which I was planning to take in the spring. Thus, I would probably aim to submit my application by the beginning of December.
I'm wondering if a) I've lost my mind and am just very excited by the prospect of potentially being able to start nursing school next year or if b) there could actually be a chance to get in..?
I want to specialize is psych and my bachelor's is in psychology.
Undergrad GPA is 3.84 and prereq GPA is 4.0 (and I expect it to stay at 4 once I'm done with them all).
I currently work as a psychometrist at a private neuropsych practice.
If you want to apply, do it ASAP...don't wait until December. There are a lot of requirements within the app...3 recommendations, multiple essay questions, a longer essay, transcripts, etc. Even if you start right now, it takes a while for everything to get to them and be checked off.
I cannot say how much of a chance you still have. The "bridge" program (non-nurse entry) is competitive and the best chance is always getting your info in by 11/1. But I wouldn't hesitate to try.
Apply! All of the programs I looked at say you do not need to complete your pre reqs to be considered. From past forums it sounds like candidates were getting interviews well into January. I'd do it ASAP though it at least call the school and see if they think you'll make the cut. Good luck!!
