  1. Sent you a PM.
  2. Hey, For your postmasters how many courses did they state you needed to bridge the gap from your previous MSN? What specialty? Why did you decide not to accept Vanderbilt?
  3. I got into four schools but I am down to Columbia or Vanderbilt.
  4. I gave up my seat yesterday! Good luck to one of the waitlisted!
  5. Also, got into FNP Prespecialty just now! I have a really hard decision to make.
  6. I just got my acceptance email also! No financial aid yet tho.
  7. Anyone who does not have a DNP will be grandfathered in if the DNP becomes required. The same thing happened to the pharmacists and physical therapists. In the private sector (hospitals etc) DNP and NP pay basically the same thing but there is a push to make the DNP required for NP practice by 2025.
  8. You are not required, but it is a recommendation if you do not have any healthcare experience.
  9. This is incorrect. After the MDE you have an MSN per CU's FAQ's page. The difference is that you don't have all the credits/practicums to be an NP. You can do a post masters at another institution (vandy, duke, etc) and become an NP if you decide to not do the DNP at CU.
  10. They have an in house application that only takes your current MDE coursework into consideration. You can also do a post-masters FNP at another institution in about 12 months if you don't want to do the CU DNP (34 months and 160K) in addition to the MDE.
  11. The letter in your Columbia portal tells you if you got MDE or MDE/DNP.
  12. I also will be there!
  13. I got in also today! I called and they said that only merit scholarships went out today. Need based scholarships will be in your packages. They mail them next week.
  14. Was the scholarship listed in your acceptance letter?
  15. It would be the class of 2020.
