For prospective applicants for the 2017 year in the program. Being as I am currently wait listed in the 2016 year due to a very late application, there is a high probability I would have to apply again come November 1st 2016 for the following year acceptance.

November 1st, 2016 is the priority application deadline for the 2017 year. All materials (GRE, official transcripts, application payment, letters of recommendation, statement of intent) must have been submitted by this date.

Letters of acceptance for August 2016 orientation and start were sent out the first week of February 2016. Wait listed recipients received their wait list offer in an around the first week of March 2016 with the caveat that seats may open well into late July.

Hi everyone! Just joined this thread but I've been a long time lurker! I just applied to the FNP/CNM dual-specialty. Anyone know how many applicants they get for this specialty and the acceptance rate?

Finished my application and submitted it today!:nurse: Dropping in to cheer y'all on and confirm that you'll feel so much better once you submit! I hope everyone enjoys the holidays and stays relaxed regarding the application process. We should hear back in February, so why worry until then?

(easier said than done!);)

Just submitted mine also! On the checklist page does yours show anything about the statement of purpose being received? Mine showed as attached when I reviewed my application before submitting it, but after submitting the checklist just shows GRE scores, transcript etc. but no check for statement of purpose

Hey there lindsey08408,

I will have to check later if I had a specific green check for the SOL, but you would not have been able to submit your application if the SOP was not attached.

I saved a PDF of my application before saving it using the option from the website and it did contain my full SOP.

Just checked my application page. There is no Statement of Purpose listed, only my GRE scores, transcripts and Letters of Recommendation appearing with green check marks. But don't worry, if your SOP was attached when you reviewed your application and the system let you submit the application, it means they received the SOP (otherwise you wouldn't have been able to submit it). Best of luck!

Hi all! I submitted my application yesterday for the primary care pediatric program. Has anyone else submitted an application for this program? or has anyone received a confirmation email or anything of the sort?

Hey embug24,

After submitting your application you should have had the option to pay the application fee and have access to your application progress page. To view the application progress page, just log into the MSN application page again and open that application.

:)

I also turned my application in before the deadline... I've applied for the Adult Gerontology Acute Care specialty, but would enter as a Pre-Specialty student.

I'm nervous, but I'm confident that I've done everything possible to give myself the best chance. If it happens, I will be extatic.

Good luck everyone!

Justin

Received word from Ms. Peerman today, everything must be received Nov 8th on your checklist for first round of review by 4 PM.

Best,

Hi everyone,

I submitted the completed application about a week before for pre-specialty entry MSN-FNP program for Fall 2017! This is my 2nd time applying to and I am re-applying this cycle for a different specialty. I was admitted for their AGPCNP program last cycle but I decided to defer and re-apply for FNP program.

Good luck everyone!

Does anyone know if all the specialties interview? And if not, which ones do?

Specializes in Critical Care.

I applied for the direct entry FNP program. I asked them about interviews and they told me that unless they want clarification of something on your application they do not interview for this specialty. If they have questions it will just be a phone interview.
