  1. ACCEPTED into full time study for ENP! Glad to have been part of this thread for many months and look forward to meeting many of you face to face come August!
  2. Thanks for creating this!
  3. The financial aid email from VUSN explicitly states, You are receiving this information because you either expressed an interest in our program or applied for admission. Receiving this information does not indicate admission to our program. I too have a visceral discomfort waiting on the results :/ BUT I try to keep calm & carry on! As hard as it is, worrying about the application will not change the application result. I feel strongly that VUSN will inform us directly of any application decision delays. We can wait it out a little longer without driving ourselves insane!
  4. Early February is next week!
  5. YES you can submit your applications without the scores. It's actually preferable to submit the application even if all required documents have not been received. Be advised though, that your application will not be reviewed until all required elements are received. I had this issue specified at open house this October. I am unsure whether or not they will accept the MCAT in place of the GRE. Hope this information helps!
  6. Hi everyone! I just had my interview for the dual specialty ENP program that lasted approximately 15 minutes as expected. I feel great about the interview and wanted to share what I learned. Each ENP who meets requirements and conditions of admission will be interviewed by ENP faculty, and from there the application will be reviewed by both the FNP and AGACNP departments. I was advised that decisions will go out in February. Best of luck to each applicant on the forum! Happy Holidays!
  7. I received an email today that the application committee has reviewed my application and would like to schedule a phone interview for the Emergency Nurse Practitioner specialty program. Would love to hear anyone's feedback on experiencing a phone interview with Vandy! Thanks :)
  8. Hey embug24, After submitting your application you should have had the option to pay the application fee and have access to your application progress page. To view the application progress page, just log into the Vandy MSN application page again and open that application. :)
  9. Just checked my application page. There is no Statement of Purpose listed, only my GRE scores, transcripts and Letters of Recommendation appearing with green check marks. But don't worry, if your SOP was attached when you reviewed your application and the system let you submit the application, it means they received the SOP (otherwise you wouldn't have been able to submit it). Best of luck!
  10. Hey there lindsey08408, I will have to check later if I had a specific green check for the SOL, but you would not have been able to submit your application if the SOP was not attached. I saved a PDF of my application before saving it using the option from the website and it did contain my full SOP.
  11. Finished my application and submitted it today! Dropping in to cheer y'all on and confirm that you'll feel so much better once you submit! I hope everyone enjoys the holidays and stays relaxed regarding the application process. We should hear back in February, so why worry until then? (easier said than done!)
  12. At open house last weekend, they did not specify a length requirement, but did say that 1 to 1 1/2 single spaced pages would be sufficient.
  13. I agree. There was heavy emphasis on the Statement of Purpose clearly relating your interests with your chosen specialty.
  14. Hi Everyone! Open house really was amazing! The faculty and staff seemed enthusiastic to ensure our understanding during the application process. I've read the above comments and agree. Application results to be reported to applicants sometime in February, those submitting before the early action deadline Nov 1 have better odds for admissions, etc.. Somehow during all of this I've overlooked a section on the Vanderbilt application page. I do have a relative who is a graduate of Vandy with their PhD in Immunology, and could technically list them on the application portion that asks about relatives who are alumni or active students. Does anyone know what type of impact, if any, that this will have on my application? Thanks!
  15. Just adding some more information I gathered from Bernie at Vandy MSN Admissions today: Yes, you can resubmit GRE scores if you wish to update your scores from when you originally completed the application. Fall 2016 Admitted GRE Averages: Verbal 152, Quant 148, Writing 4.5 :)
