For prospective applicants for the 2017 year in the program. Being as I am currently wait listed in the 2016 year due to a very late application, there is a high probability I would have to apply again come November 1st 2016 for the following year acceptance.

November 1st, 2016 is the priority application deadline for the 2017 year. All materials (GRE, official transcripts, application payment, letters of recommendation, statement of intent) must have been submitted by this date.

Letters of acceptance for August 2016 orientation and start were sent out the first week of February 2016. Wait listed recipients received their wait list offer in an around the first week of March 2016 with the caveat that seats may open well into late July.

I feel you, anchordown!! It's frustrating that Vanderbilt operates on a rolling basis. It feels like a bad sign that other people applying to my specialty have received interview invites, although I know that doesn't necessarily mean they aren't considering my application. Hopefully we'll all hear something soon!

I completely understand! I almost wish the specialty I applied for had an interview so I could have something to look forward to before letters go out.

I got the email invitation for a phone interview today! I applied for the combined Nurse Midwifery/Family Nurse Practitioner specialty. ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Interview offer for CNM-FNP! Wooo!

Has anyone received an invitation for an interview in PMHNP?

Hi all,

I'm late to the thread, but also got an email about an invitation for an interview today (I'm PreSpecialty/CNM). I am cautiously optimistic--I know this is by no means a guarantee of acceptance, but am relatively certain they don't interview every CNM applicant. Good luck to everyone!

Received an email on Monday for an interview for CNM track (direct entry)!

I'm just curious, but are there any other direct entry CNM or CNM/FNP applicants that view or comment on this thread?

Specializes in Mental Health.

I applied to PMHNP and haven't heard anything.

I applied for direct entry into the CNM/FNP program! Doing a phone interview tomorrow! I wonder how much they will ask in only 10-15 minutes...

Good luck on your phone interview! Definitely let us know how it goes!

Hi all! I applied for the pre-speciality FNP MSN program and am anxiously awaiting a response. Does anyone know when we are supposed to hear back? Thanks so much!

Sandy from Vanderbilt told me that FNP applicants will hear back from them February-March... Fingers crossed
