For prospective applicants for the 2017 year in the program. Being as I am currently wait listed in the 2016 year due to a very late application, there is a high probability I would have to apply again come November 1st 2016 for the following year acceptance.

November 1st, 2016 is the priority application deadline for the 2017 year. All materials (GRE, official transcripts, application payment, letters of recommendation, statement of intent) must have been submitted by this date.

Letters of acceptance for August 2016 orientation and start were sent out the first week of February 2016. Wait listed recipients received their wait list offer in an around the first week of March 2016 with the caveat that seats may open well into late July.

Hi guys! I have creeped for a while but, first time posting. I applied for the direct entry FNP program. My numbers are so/so but, Im at peace with it. If I get into the program that would be amazing but, if not, Im ok with it.

did anyone have to mail in a letter of rec? I sent one of mine through fed ex and it was delivered but wanted to see if they still update the checklist the same way as the electronic ones.

hi everyone, wishing you all the best as you continue your applications and eagerly await feedback on your admission status. i'm currently a pre-specialty student (psych specialty) and i'm happy to answer any questions- feel free to message me; i won't be checking the board so won't see any questions posted on here, but will keep an eye on my inbox. i know this board along with current students were very helpful in my decision to attend so i'm happy to help if i can.

Anyone applied to the AGAC-NP Prespecialty program? I am applying late and was wondering how competitive it is. I am finishing my first semester in PT school and decided to change.

I received an email today that the application committee has reviewed my application and would like to schedule a phone interview for the Emergency Nurse Practitioner specialty program. Would love to hear anyone's feedback on experiencing a phone interview with ! Thanks :)

Just a suggestion - you guys may want to create your own FB group. It got a lot more participation than this board does when one was created last year. ;)

Hello all! Just wondering if any applicants of the PMHNP program have received any additional emails or heard anything about interviews since submitting their application. I applied before the Nov. deadline and haven't heard anything since then. Thanks! :-)

Hey, I also applied for PMHNP before the early deadline and I haven't heard anything yet either! Hopefully we'll hear back soon. :)

Hi all! Just got an email about interviewing for the ABSN/CNM program! Has anyone interviewed yet? Just wondering what to expect, they said it only will last 10-15 minutes!

Just a heads up: You will not earn a BSN in Vanderbilt's accelerated nursing program. You will earn an RN only. No BSN. If you want a BSN (along with another semester of education to account for this degree) Emory offers it and maybe one or two other schools in the US. Your degree will be RN, MSN, CNM upon completion at . Hope that helps avoid any confusion!

(Full disclosure: I am in the pre-specialty program of the CNM portion at Vanderbilt currently).

I feel like the wait to have any type of answer is already an eternity. I just need some sort of update! I'm so impatient.

Thanks for clarifying! Do you think there is any disadvantage to not getting the BSN degree? Any implications for future scope of practice or career prospects? Or no difference?
