Uworld Self-Assessment Exam questions

Updated:   Published

Hey guys,

Has anyone heard / know how accurate Uworld's new self-assessment exam is? They recently added (01/01/2017) the new self-assessment portion. I had a friend score a 98% on it and passed her NCLEX in 75 questions. She was the only person I know of that took the self-assessment test. Was wondering if any knows about others that have taken it and scored high/low and passed the NCLEX as well. I took my assessment and scored a 92% so I am a bit worried about my chances of passing the NCLEX now...

Thanks in advance!

When you log in to your account under the NCLEX-RN QBANK there are 2 NCLEX-RN Self-Assessment Tests (1&2).

I used Uworld to study and I can honestly say that I was scoring between 57% and 68% on the self assessment tests (75 questions). I took the test on March 29,2017 and got the bad popup, after sitting for 4.5 hrs and completing 265 questions.

i am still studying for my NCLEX and i am using NCSBN rather than UWORLD so which one of them two is better?

so did you pass or not?

URGENT!!

i paid an 8 weeks for review for the NCLEX_RN using NCSBN is that ok or do i need UWORLD instead guys? please help

Sorry for the late reply!! I would definitely use Uworld in conjunction with the 8 week program you bought. Uworld has very good rationales and has really helped me with my critical thinking skills and overall, how to answer NCLEX style questions. Even if I have no clue what the answer to a question is I can now tease out the right answer (obviously sometimes I still get it wrong).

luxi07, this makes me feel so good!!!!

I scheduled to take my test ASAP--for May 30th at 2pm! I graduated May 7th, and haven't studied since then. Took the self-assess test 1 today and got 64% correct and placed in 74th percentile with "very high" chance of passing!

Thank you so much!!!

KTJ0408 did you pass???

Hello,

I thought I would add some confidence to anyone out there with scores on the lower end. I scored a 61% on my first self assessment and a 60% on my second. Both of these scores warranted a "Highly Likely" to pass the NLCEX on the first try. I had about 700 questions remaining in the Q Bank that I was averaging at 55% when I took my exam. I passed in 75 questions. My best advice is to relax. Read the rationale when you're wrong and even when you're right. Reread the NLCEX questions and decipher what they're really asking of you.

Good luck everyone!!

I am nervous because I scored a very high chance of passing on the first assessment and the second I scored just at average and was borderline. I take the NCLEX in 2 days and now am very nervous. I have done around 1000 of the practice UWorld questions and have a 57% but the second assessment score scared me. Any advice?

Recentnurse1234,

How'd you do on the NCLEX?

I just starting taking Uworld and am so confused!! :x

I did 250 questions only and it says I'm in the 72nd percentile, and I answered 68% questions right. What does that mean? How high on the percentile do you have to be to pass? Or does anyone know how to interpret uworld results?

Kinda late to jump into this conversation but I wanted opinions. I originally started using Virtual ATI but after finishing the course and receiving an 84% chance of passing NCLEX, I felt discouraged and bought UWorld. I didn't want to move my date anymore (it is in a week's time) so I technically have only been using Uworld for about a week. I have 1448 questions left but am really focusing on the rationales. I took the first self assessment and received the 44th percentile and a "high" chance of passing (not "very high"). I'm still planning on continuing with the questions and rationales, but I am terrified that I am not ready to pass.
