NCLEX RN Exam! HELP! (May 2017)
You got this. Just stay positive, be confident, and know you are going to pass this test. Even if you are not able to cover everything, DO NOT worry. Just make sure the questions you do cover, you are reading thoroughly; read those rationales and really understand why you got the question wrong or right. If you rush through just for the sake of finishing all the questions you will not really hone in on those critical thinking skills. For example, I was having an extremely hard time trying to figure out which patient to see first when EVERY patient could not breathe and all of them were bleeding and seemingly dead on arrival:D. I really read those rationales to teach my self how to identify which patient to prioritize (and then Uworld kept spitting those types of questions, and I got better at answering them). When you are answering Uworld questions really practice those critical thinking skills; try and cancel out at least two wrong options before you choose your answer. Even if you have no clue what the answer is; practice those skills and try and tease out at least two answers to choose from. This is what I am most thankful to Uworld for; there questions and rationales helped take my critical thinking skills to a whole new level. There were several questions on Uworld that I had never even heard of; but because I had been doing the Uworld questions I could use critical thinking (and educated guessing) to guess the right answer. I know it sounds dumb; but the NCLEX honestly felt like a lot of educated guessing at times.

NCLEX RN Exam! HELP! (May 2017)
Honestly, I do not remember the exact number of questions I got. My test kept going and going (My brain tends to not run at optimal level during tests). I was calm before the test; but got anxious when I started my test. I was there for the full 6 hours and even ran out of time. The computer never shut me off, I just ran out of time. I think I was at around 235 questions by the end. This was a bad idea, but I got it in my head that I was going to fail but I had to finish all 265 questions. In the last hour I was at maybe 150 ish? Maybe even 130 ish. In the last half hour I was maybe around 190. At this point I was answering questions super fast; I just skimmed the question and the options and picked an answer and moved on to the next question. I was 100% sure I failed when the timer ran out. Two days later I paid for quick results (to confirm my fail), but I ended up passing. I looked up how the NCLEX is graded if you run out of time and apparently they only look at the last 60 questions you answered. I still do not really understand how it works because according to NCSBN you have to be above the passing standard in the last 60 questions to pass (If even one question falls below you fail, but you do not have to get each question right). If this is true that they only look at the last 60 questions then I probably passed because I was picking an answer quickly, versus sitting there and contemplating. I only used Uworld to study and I know it is what made me pass. Using Uworld it made me learn how to answer the questions in NCLEX style (I know I used the full time and did not get shut off at 75, but towards the end I just rapid fire answered the questions). Do not do what I did and rush though; generally not good plan of attack. Sorry for the essay, I hope this was not too much of a ramble. But Uworld really did help me pass. Uworld questions are difficult and makes you think critically and helps you identify the answer even if you have no clue about the topic in the question. I only went on so long because I am my own worst enemy and most likely kept changing answers (even though I know there wrong, I just convince myself otherwise). Just breathe, relax, keep trucking through Uworld and know YOU CAN DO THIS.

Uworld Self-Assessment Exam questions
Sorry for the late reply!! I would definitely use Uworld in conjunction with the 8 week program you bought. Uworld has very good rationales and has really helped me with my critical thinking skills and overall, how to answer NCLEX style questions. Even if I have no clue what the answer to a question is I can now tease out the right answer (obviously sometimes I still get it wrong).

NCLEX RN Exam! HELP! (May 2017)
I'm confused as to how Uworld's self assessments work. I just took the second assessment and got 59% correct placing me in the 60th percentile and it gave me a very high chance of passing. I feel 59% is horrible. (probably should not have taken the second assessment after spending the whole day doing questions, but no excuses). I also have a bad habit of changing my right answers to the wrong ones; still working on not doing that.

NCLEX RN Exam! HELP! (May 2017)
I'm taking it pretty much next week!! I am not telling anyone my exact test date; I have some anxiety surrounding this test and have heard of people using this method to relieve testing anxiety. I literally just finished all of the 1900+ questions; reviewing my last test rationales now (Got 60% with the avg. being 49%; I'm not sure if scoring above the average is really a good indicator). I am planning on doing the second assessment sometime today; I'm just worried because I test so soon and don't want to score poorly and make myself worry since I am testing next week. Don't worry about all the questions!!! I'm sure everyone who has not taken their NCLEX yet is in the same boat. I did not take notes on the rationales (I did in the beginning and it ate too much time); my classmates have told me it is a waste of time to try and remember EVERYTHING. The stress is on understanding.

NCLEX RN Exam! HELP! (May 2017)
I'm taking my NCLEX in the beginning of May. I have only been using Uworld per classmates advice and reading forums about how successful Uworld has been for people passing the NCLEX with 75 questions. From what other people have said, percentages are not something to get hung up about. The most important thing is reading the rationales and understanding why you got questions wrong. I am also worried though; My Uworld average is 58% being in the 75th percentile (I was scoring in the 40% range my first two tests, but am now consistently in the 60% range). I took the first Uworld assessment and got 65% placing me in the 78th percentile and a "Very High" chance of passing.
