Uworld Self-Assessment Exam questions

Nursing Students NCLEX

Updated:   Published

Hey guys,

Has anyone heard / know how accurate Uworld's new self-assessment exam is? They recently added (01/01/2017) the new self-assessment portion. I had a friend score a 98% on it and passed her NCLEX in 75 questions. She was the only person I know of that took the self-assessment test. Was wondering if any knows about others that have taken it and scored high/low and passed the NCLEX as well. I took my assessment and scored a 92% so I am a bit worried about my chances of passing the NCLEX now...

Thanks in advance!

When you said you scored a 92%, do you mean 92% correct or 92 percentile score? Regardless, a 92 will put you at a very high chance especially if it's consistent with your average UWorld QBank score. I took the self-assessment and got a 76% correct (97 percentile - very high chance of passing); I've done 1400 questions from the Uworld QBank with 73% correct (96th percentile). I plan on taking the NCLEX in the next few weeks.

wow amazing scores, if I were you I would take it now.

I haven't taken my assessment yet but I do know of a friend who was in the 87th percentile and passed in 75Q's. Also another poster was in the 53% and still passed. So I think it has more to do with really reading your rationale. So you will def pass OP. The UWORLD self assessment tool boasts on providing questions that are similiar to the nclex plan to gauge your readiness so I think it's pretty accurate. Break a leg !

Thanks Ms Petite. I so wish I could take it right now but I'm still waiting for ATT.:scrying:

MrRN16, What was your score before your exam?

UWORLD truly is the best hands down..

How many month did you go into UWORLD and how often or rather, how many questions a day ?

I am planning to take UWORLD too but as I am an international nurse, it is a bit expensive for me but I know it is worth it.

I scored a 92% chance of passing on the predictor exam, and averaged 63% on all my uworld tests. I passed first try in 75 questions. Uworld is amazing because of the rationales. Honestly, uworld questions are different than the questions on the nclex. Anyone else find that? The actual nclex asked more general questions, and the patients are not as sick as they are in uworld. But reading the rationales and understanding uworld's logic for answering a question is what's going to make you pass. Uworld is the best!

Good day:

ATI Comprehensive Predictor: 99% chance to pass the first time

uWorld Assessment: 94% chance to pass the first time

uWorld Overall Average: 63% correct

I took my NCLEX-RN on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at 8:00 AM, and finished in 75 questions at 8:40 AM. I found out I passed the boards on Wednesday, January 18a t 8:40 am.

Thank you.

For the Uworld Assessment I scored in the 88th percentile. How do I determine my percentage of passing the NCLEX first time? Good luck to all of you.

Thank you and God Bless

A lot of us used our percentile on the predictor exam as our "chance of passing". So yours would be a 88% chance of passing. That's great! Good luck

I have been doing 150-200 questions per day--150 from Kaplan (our class was required to buy it) and 50 from UWorld. I scheduled my exam in a few weeks and just took the self-assessment. It said I have a very high chance of passing and placed me in the 94th percentile.

I have some ways to go until I sit for my exam, but I just wanted to mention how encouraging the response has been in regards to UWorld! I'll be finishing up all the Kaplan resources (assuming I stick to my study plan) about 1.5 weeks before taking the NCLEX, and from there I'll be focusing on UWorld.

I used UWorld for about 3 weeks and got a 69%, 94th percentile on their sim NCLEX which I took two days before my exam. I ended up passing in 75 questions and was able to see my license come up on the New Mexico BON website two days later. UWorld was essential to my success and I definitely felt more confident after using it.
