Hey guys !
I'm applying and I'm really nervous, but excited to start my nursing program soon. Anyone else applying to UW?
I got in! I live right next to UW, so those of you living in Seattle should be getting them today... Last year, I was rejected by SU, SPU and UW. And this year, I was also rejected by SU. I'm so glad I re-applied to UW. I was so close to just giving up after being rejected from all the schools that I applied to.
Also,@Decapili12 -, its not necessary true that you'll get into the proctored essay if you have all the documents. I applied last year, and I submitted all the correct documents, but I did not get through the proctored essay. There is an online information session by Carolyn Chow (the head admission director). I really encourage you to listen to that! It is really helpful. Here is the link: https://nursing.uw.edu/admissions/bachelor-science-nursing-bsnaccelerated-bachelor-science-nursing-absn
That's great news! In previous years I've read that they can get that far. It just depends on how many people change their plans. They could take you all the way up until orientation in September!!
CONGRATS YOU GUYS!!!!! sorry you had to wait so long.
msd123 dont worry about your post bach, if you were accepted into the nursing school, you are pretty much guaranteed admission to UW general - thats what chow said, the nursing school would make sure you would get accepted unless you were missing something. The post bacc will come a little bit later.
Happy unicorn it really varies per year! one year they went through 10 (alot of people may reject uw for other schools or personal reasons). This past year they went through like 4. It depends on each year!
I hope the rest of you hear good news soon!
shelleybaumer,
I spoke to the school and they told me the same thing. I have to wait and see. Some years they accept everyone, and some just 1 or 2... Meanwhile I have to do everything as if I was accepted... Just in case :) Well.... I have to wait until September.. Thats going to be a nice wait. Good luck and congratulations to the ones that got in.
