UW ABSN Summer 2018

Hello everyone! Since applications will open within the next 2 months for the University of Washington's Accelerated Nursing Program for the Summer of 2018, I figured I would go ahead and start this article to start sharing knowledge and supporting each other through the next 6-12 months of preparation.

I am 35 years old and applying for this program after 18 years in telecom.

I look forward to "meeting" everyone!

So nervous! I was reading previous forums and it seems like about 30-40 people get wasted and last year approximately 20 go off the waiting list and the year before that 25! It was also around Mid December they found out! I'm wishing everyone happy holidays :)

Hey guys! How is everyone doing with their nerves?! I have been feeling so nervous as we wait to hear back!!

For those of you that attended the proctored essay, did they say when the decisions might be released? Looks like in years past it has been around the 15th.

hey guys! i just talked to someone in the admissions office and apparently our decisions are being emailed this year, not sent as a physical letter. idk if everyone already knew that, but i was under the impression that they would be physically mailed out. she didn't give me an exact date but it's nice to know that i don't have to wait for a letter to show up to get my decision :) good luck everyone!

ohhhh excellent news Allison! I'm going to be out of town the 14-19th and that felt too close for comfort when I thought we were waiting on a letter in the mail. I'm glad to hear it's an email! now let's hope it goes to the inbox, and doesn't hide anywhere else. :)

Who's getting excited?? I didn't really think about it that much in between the essay and now but we could find out in just a few days! Crazy how time flies.

random question--does anyone know how hard it is to get into UW's DNP nurse practitioner programs coming straight out of their ABSN program? like is that feasible at all?

Just got a phone call. I MADE IT! I got into the program! So excited! They said official emails will be out later today or tomorrow. Best of luck to the rest of you!

That's so exciting!! What time did you get the call? I'm worried that everyone got the call closer to 11am and now it's almost 11:45 and i haven't heard anything
