UW ABSN Summer 2018

Hello everyone! Since applications will open within the next 2 months for the University of Washington's Accelerated Nursing Program for the Summer of 2018, I figured I would go ahead and start this article to start sharing knowledge and supporting each other through the next 6-12 months of preparation.

I am 35 years old and applying for this program after 18 years in telecom.

I look forward to "meeting" everyone!

@huskieenurse I would love to talk to you more about the program if you are still willing. I have also heard some less than stellar things about it. I am wondering if it is good fit. Can I email you or something? I don't have the pm feature on all nurses since apparently I don't post enough.

I got the first call at 9:45am and just received the official invitation from Adrian via a call back. So excited to be part of 2018 ABSN! Good luck to those still waiting to hear.

He said official emails would go out around 3pm, so there is still time!

I got waitlisted (#35). I know the odds aren't great. Let's hope I get into one of the other programs I applied to. Congrats to those who were accepted!

I was also waitlisted at #12. It looks like people in the early teens usually get in sometime in April, which will most likely be too late for me. Already been accepted to Emory's ABSN-MSN program which starts in May so I'll most likely go there. Good luck to the rest of you!
