UTMB Summer '09 Applicants

I'm wondering who applied for the UTMB Summer 2009 semester, and if they have received any news from UTMB. My status says "pending", and all my information was received. I don't know how big the applicant pool is considering the hurricane. I haven't seen any news on here about UTMB recently, so anything is appreciated. Thanks.

I found out that we will be notified of interviews sometime between mid-February and late February. They are reviewing applications at the end of Jan.

I haven't heard anything....but i did get a letter in the mail saying they received my fall application. (i applied for summer and fall to be more on the safe side). I am going to try to get my CPR certification soon, and hopefully I will be able to visit the doctor soon to get my hep B titer. I have no clue what my status is for acceptance, but I really want to be prepared. I don't want to be rushing around trying to get all of this done at the last minute. It seems like we'll be having a lot to do at the last minute anyway.

Oh, I applied for the fall as well, but I never receieved a letter in the mail. I am however able to view it through e-connect. I need to get my hep B shots taken care of as well. I am not sure if I had them or not, and if not, I think I should start, as they are a long process. Thanks for the info. please keep posting. It's almost Feb so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I am posting to let you guys know that I spoke to some at UTMB Nursing School and they said we should not expect to hear from them until the end of Feb. It seems like they keep post-poning it, which worries me, but i'm still keeping my hopes up!!

Thanks for the post. I hope we find out soon! Yesterday I got CPR certified, and today I picked up my Hep B titer (which I am immune)...yay. I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row...maybe it will help with the interview.

Thank you for keeping us posted. I guess since classes don't start until May 4th they have March and April to interview and send out acceptance letters. Patients, patients, patients. :bugeyes:

Yeah, but on the calendar it says early registration for summer is the 2nd week of march. Hopefully we find out right away. UT-Houston is already interviewing for fall, though I personally haven't received a letter (yet).
