UTMB Spring 2012

Hey Guys!

I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for all UTMB Galveston's Spring 2012 traditional bsn applicants. Have you all started to apply yet or at least looked at the application? What do you think? How are your personal statements/testing going? If you guys have anything worth discussing please post and good luck to all!

Ok Guys today is supposed to be a big day for those of us who haven't heard anything. They're supposed to have another meeting today to consider applicants for acceptance and interviews. So hopefully we'll be receiving some very good news shortly (fingers crossed) Let's keep our heads up and faith strong!

just curious how do you know this...lol did you speak to someone?? just curious!! i been waiting lol...are you in already?? if so congrtas

I got my invite email today... finally. 11:00am on Thursday. Anybody else?...

I read our post sometimes and want to say relax a little you're making us all nervous. :uhoh3: I can just picture how frantic you are. I can also recognize how much you want this, bcuz I do as well. I'm in the same boat as you. I haven't heard anything regarding my application either. I actually had some big issues that the SON staff was kind enough and extremely helping in assisting me clearing up. With that said TC told me there was a meeting they were having a meeting today. It's also been posted on this forum by people who either had interviews or spoke with someone last week. So deep breath and positive thoughts :cool: It's not over yet. Let's hang in there together ;-)

I read our post sometimes and want to say relax a little you're making us all nervous. :uhoh3: I can just picture how frantic you are. I can also recognize how much you want this, bcuz I do as well. lol am so sorry!! i will relax lol!! and see what happens and hope for the best!!!! and i as well had issues with my application so i will see what happens :) thanks though!!

I got an interview invite this morning at 10:50am. My interview is Thursday at 9:30am!

My second Interview is for Thursday @ 10:30 pm! Super excited but nervous once again! Congrats to all! I received mines via phone!

does anyone know anything about the immunization record im pretty sure i need my hep b shot again ... will i be able to start in the spring if all parts of the hep b shot isnt completed yet??

I'm not sure if this has been asked but does anyone know if it's okay for mystar to say my application is incomplete because I need to submit a transcript showing that my TSI requirement has been met? I just recently found out that my current university didn't include that with my transcripts...I'm not sure how important that is at this point as I'm still waiting to hear about an interview

My application said incomplete up until I was accepted because I have classes in progress. You're saying, however, that yours is incomplete because you haven't submitted proof for TSI? I would definitely try to make sure that you send them that proof ASAP because TSI is a basic requirement that you must have fulfilled to be accepted. You should try calling them to make sure that they know too.

You should call the student health center where you'll be submitting your immunizations record. The woman there was really helpful in helping me figure out what I needed and didn't need. I'm pretty sure she did tell me however that you have to have completed the entire hep b series and prove with positive titer results that you're immune to hep B before starting the program but I would double check on that...
