UTMB Spring 2012

Hey Guys!

I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for all UTMB Galveston's Spring 2012 traditional bsn applicants. Have you all started to apply yet or at least looked at the application? What do you think? How are your personal statements/testing going? If you guys have anything worth discussing please post and good luck to all!

Wow.. I just got a phone call asking if I could come tomorrow. Anyone else going tomorrow?

Has anyone heard of Chamberlain in Houston or have any info on it?

Yes, I've heard about the school and actually applied. they do have the rolling admissions for any session. They have both the 1yr accelerated track and 3 yrs traditional and i think they take the Hesi.

Oh ok, did you get in? And do you know of their accreditation status?

NO didn't get in, they needed me to take additional prereqs. I chose utmb instead since I had everything in there already. From what I gathered its pretty easy to get in if you have all your classes.

I have been a lurker for this blog for a while but, I just got in this past Friday! I want to send out a congrats to all that are in. To all of those that are still in the process of interviewing and such hang in there I was totally nervous about everything and it all worked out. Just remember everything happens for a reason and stay positive. I am wondering if there are any Galveston natives out there?

I was actually born in Galveston at UTMB lol. However, I moved out around the age of 10 or so...wish I still lived there though.

does anyone know exactly when the spring 2012 starts?? has anyone received their packet yet?? Hopefully if comes sometime this week :) i just wanyt to get everything turned in as soon as possible

NO packet here yet..hopefully soon... Orientation is Jan 4-6 and first day of class is Jan 9th...

Does anyone starting in the spring have kids? I have a1yr old and was wondering about child care options.

I have a close friend in Dickinson that watches, her daughter, my niece and another little boy in her home. She is VERY reasonable, dependable, flexible and trustworthy... If anyone is interested LET ME KNOW as she has limited room for only a couple more!!!
