UTMB Spring 2012

Hey Guys!

I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for all UTMB Galveston's Spring 2012 traditional bsn applicants. Have you all started to apply yet or at least looked at the application? What do you think? How are your personal statements/testing going? If you guys have anything worth discussing please post and good luck to all!

Does anyone starting in the spring have kids? I have a1yr old and was wondering about child care options.

Mine will be 1 when we start the program... I am also looking into child care options. I wish we knew our schedules so we could plan accordingly. Let me know if you find anything!

I have a close friend in Dickinson that watches, her daughter, my niece and another little boy in her home. She is VERY reasonable, dependable, flexible and trustworthy... If anyone is interested LET ME KNOW as she has limited room for only a couple more!!!

I would like her information!

I have a 3 year old. He attends pre-school 3 days a week. The other 2 I'm lucky to have a husband with one of those days off and my parents are retired and have agreed to help with anything else!

There's tons of daycare that are dependable in Dickinson/league City area. I can recommend some if anyone is interested.

Hello all

I have been a lurker for this blog for a while but, I just got in this past Friday! I want to send out a congrats to all that are in. To all of those that are still in the process of interviewing and such hang in there I was totally nervous about everything and it all worked out. Just remember everything happens for a reason and stay positive. I am wondering if there are any Galveston natives out there?

Lol... I was born on the Island, but a native of Baytown... :-)

does anyone know exactly when the spring 2012 starts?? has anyone received their packet yet?? Hopefully if comes sometime this week :) i just wanyt to get everything turned in as soon as possible

No packet yet but I did get an email from enrollment services with my new mystar id. The reason I had asked the question previously about any galveston natives being on the blog is because I am one myself. I am hoping since I got an email today from enrollment services that my packet may come in the mail today, since it doesn't have far to travel from UTMB to my house on the island.

does anyone know about childcare options at galveston or around the area? I have a 1yr old.

There are many daycares on the island here are a few that I would look into first: Koala Kare Day Care Center (this is in the downtown area, close to UTMB), Moody Methodist Day School (this is a church closer to mid-town that has a great daycare), First Step Learning Center (also mid-town).

Hello I got accepted last saturday!!! but I dont know where to live. Do most people live in houston or galveston. I don't care about it this subject on terms of one being "ghetto" etc, just more concerned about convenience....
