Hey Guys!

I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for all UTMB Galveston's Spring 2012 traditional bsn applicants. Have you all started to apply yet or at least looked at the application? What do you think? How are your personal statements/testing going? If you guys have anything worth discussing please post and good luck to all!

I interview Thursday and got my acceptance email today around 230pm!! I am so excited!

When I left my interview I was really nervous because he said my grade were just average. I'm so glad it only took 24 hours for them to accept me. If I had to wait a whole month like the first batch did, I would have gone crazy.

I live in Webster, and I am ready to meet my classmates! Let me know when you ladies plan on getting together!!:nurse:

Its been a couple of days since i've been on here, but I just wanted to say again CONGRATULATIONS to everyone that has gotten accepted I'm really excited for you all and ya'll are awesome!

For everyone in the same boat as me-- waiting for an interview:

I e-mailed T.C. regarding my application and she told me it would be reviewed next week and invitations would go out next Friday. I then asked her if this will be one of the last times the SON meets for considerations, and she told me "close to it". So right now i'm feeling that if I don't get an e-mail next week, I probably never will. Especially because I had a 3.23 when applying and only 86% on my TEAS. Oh and to top it off I've had to repeat two classes to get there. I'm really feeling like my chances are slim, which is so upsetting because i've never wanted anything more than to get into this nursing school. But i guess everything happens for a reason.

I feel like after next weeks meeting, if that's not the last, they'll probably only have one more. So good luck to everyone waiting for a chance to prove themselves!

Don't lose hope!! I repeated courses as well, took A&P I 3x, A&PII 2x and had an entire semester with Fs in important pre-reqs (i had to explain that in my essay and again in my interview). If you don't get accepted, and this is truly your dream, then never, ever give up!!!! I first looked @ UTMB SEVEN years ago. Getting my BSN was so important to me and I refused to quit!! Life is too short to give up on what your heart truly desires!!!

I didn't have a second interview...just the one on sept 9th.
