Hey Guys!
I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for all UTMB Galveston's Spring 2012 traditional bsn applicants. Have you all started to apply yet or at least looked at the application? What do you think? How are your personal statements/testing going? If you guys have anything worth discussing please post and good luck to all!
i'm just glad i have you all to go through this with because i couldn't imagine going through this whole process alone..
same here! i was so grateful to find this website and to see what the past threads went through, also... we've just gotta get through this little hurdle, no sweat!!
i think if i can make it through statistics, i can make it through anything!!!
i saved stats for last. i took it...but what the *#@@ was that all about? a statistics course is like learning to cook with a book written in hieroglypics.
"definition of statistics: the science of producing unreliable facts from reliable figures."
there are lies, damned lies and statistics.

yeah it is nice having everyone to go through this together!
as far as stats, i actually didn't have too much of a problem with it. i'm taking four of the last of my pre-reqs this semester - nutrition, patho, us history, and i'm going to take sociology in october. the class i'm worried about is patho.. has everyone else taken it already?

I've taken patho. I loved it!!
My Statistic teacher was fired for sexual assault because he was touching on various women in our class. He would show up to class drunk and I meant lit and ask to take us out for luch and dinner after class. I enjoyed the class once they removed him, but to be experiencing that on top of the work Statistic requires was crucial. I feel if I could still pull through with an A after all that I can do anything....
Wow thats quite a story twoy, what school did u go to?
You lucked out rocketryder. Its really interesting and useful for nursing. But I had a hard time getting into it bc everyone who signed up in the spring signed up again for the fall in anticipation of failing it! O.o Theres only one professor who teaches it and hes pretty tough. So I need some tips on the best way to study
I live in Mont Belvieu, right outside of Baytown and have a family and home so we won't be moving. It takes me about 35-40 minutes to get to the Island, of course depending on morning traffic in Seabrook and Kemah so I'm thinking the drive every day will be fine.If it were me, I would live somewhere in between because Galveston to Houston on the way in and out can be hectic, especially with traffic at 610 and 45. Its going to take enough time just to get through that in rush hour!
I also have a family and I live in Houston the area which is closer to Pasadena, Tx. So I will be moving down to the island, but I haven't decided if I wanna bring one of my daughters that is 5 with me. I plan on renting an apartment during the week and going home on the weekend. I really prefer not to move but I can't trust I45 it crazy! Do you guys think I'll be okay bring my 5 year old?
