Hey guys Im making this thread so all of the applicants for UTMB Spring 2010 can follow each other through the process and help each other out! The application deadline is coming up soon! Goodluck to all!:nuke: I know they are only exepting 60 for the spring.

Smith0806 how did you find out about inteviews being moved. When I call they say that they are closed til tomorrow cal back?

My mom went to UTMB and she said that she interviewed 4 weeks before school started and they told her 2 weeks before that she got in. LOL craziness

I got an email telling me they had moved the interviews and that they would be out until Friday. possibly Monday.

hey guys! i posted a thread a long time ago but mainly have just been looking on here for answers! i too am so frustrated with this app process! i also applied to twu..but i prefer to go to utmb. so..i have been trying to call up there because i just read the thread about retaken prereqs and i am worried ...i have withdrew from 4 classes since i have been in college so i have 4 w's on my transcript and i retook them once each. i don't know if they consider that part of the policy versus taking it the first go around and earning a grade then retaking it for a better one? plus, two of them were in my first semester in college so i didn't really care! but also read you can ask them to ignore that or something? someone please post if you have spoke with anyone about this issue! i want my app to be looked at! soo frustrating..i wish i would have known about this earlier and i would have filled out that paper already!:banghead:

does anyone else have any withdraws?

wow 4 weeks before school stareted?? I hope its not like that for us lol All I know is the day is going to come & we all are gonna look back at it & laugh :)

Hi Alyssa!I'm also applying to both TWU and UTMB.I called TWU today and we should get our letters by Nov 1st,so we should at least know about one nursing school by the end of this month which is great news.

About the withdrawals.Yes they have now limited thje number of withdraws to 6 total for your entire undergraduate education,but I have read it's only for people who started collede Fall 2007 and after.

thanks for the info! i started in 05 so i think im ok..but i read on utmb handbook thingy online that they only allow you to retake 2 pre reqs and they cannot have been repeated more than once. that is why i am worried because i withdrew english 1 govt 1 ap 1 and hist 1...and i retook them once each. i have been trying to call them but as we all know the ac is broken and they are not there to answer our calls....:down:...i just hope i am an "eligible" applicant..because they said they will interview eligible applicants only. if i can fill out this paper that requests them to ignore my first semester in college then i will be ok..but i just need to find out!

and that makes me happy about twu!! :D i am just ready to find out something from somewhere! keep me posted if you get accepted and i will do the same! twu is alot closer for me i live in baytown area but i would just move if i get into utmb. i haven't really heard anything good or bad about twu ..has anyone else?

Yeah,you should be fine is you started school in 05,but it's great your doubling checking.UTMB is one tough school to get in contact with even when the AC was working!uh we have been waiting forever for that school I hope all goes well with all of us who have been waiting.

Yeah, I definitely will keep you posted!I live in Houston area.It seems like TWU is the more quiet of the schools! lol a lot of people are mainly focused on UT houston of UTMB,but I also post on the TWU spread,and it's actually more people in the dallas area,than houston applying to TWU dallas campus posting threads.

But,the good news about TWU is that there was a fall in applicants this application period, about 548 applicants, compared to the normal 900-100 applicants.I also beleive that amount is the houston and dallas campus combined,including people who applied to both campuses,so the number could be lower.

Yeah it was worth the wait she loved it. When we went to open house she was talking to everyone and trying to lead the tour lol. That's her personality for ya! But yeah she said it took along time,but she graduated with her masters in 05

hello everyone!!!! i have been reading this forum for a while and have found alot of things very very very helpful!!! i have decided to join because like many of you bsn generic applicants i am very frustrated with this delay in interviews:banghead:. i also applied to uthsc and also recieved an interview and already went to my interview...and their deadline was a month after utmb's...i just dont get it. anyways i would like to say congrats to all of those who got interviews with the bacc2 program!!!! i can only imangine how excited you all are. utmb was my first choice but with this delay i am wondering if they should be my second!!!

well i just wanted to introduce myself and wish everyone good luck!!!!!
